I bought mine a few weeks ago and I have a question: The viewfinder seems to have some kind of parallax adjustment. Is that true? The little circle in the centre of viewfinder is actually going to represent the centre of the picture?
Will Fujifilm ever manufacturing instant film for the Polaroid sx-70? Fuji is already making Polaroid PIF-300. Why not go the extra mile and make 600 film?
I absolutely love the design of the 50s but the pics are so small :/ And with the 210 the pictures are awesome but the desing is meh... Design/Quality???
Also with the mini films you pay ca the same price for less film.
@fujiguys Ι think he was asking about the developing picture, not exposure time. In polaroid, light and temperature greatly affect how the picture develops.
Hi. I bought an Instax 210 and took one picture with it and it came out great. The next time I tried to take a picture, the shutter goes off, but the film does not come out of the top. I put in new batteries and a new cartridge of film and the black slide nor any film comes out. Please help as I really love this camera :/ Thanks!
@renboekhorst This is not normally. If you just bought it, have it returned and replaced, otherwise, contact your local Fujifilm service centre in your area for assistance.
Sorry I have one problem. I turn on my Instax 210 have error message on the screen. And I take photo is dark. Last I found the iris diaphragm did not open.
one more question (couldn't fit it in the other post)..... when the flash bolt isn't turned on or showing on the screen, does that mean the flash is supposed to be turned off? because i can't seem to control if the flash fires or not. it'll be on what i think is "off" and sometimes it doesn't fire, but sometimes it does. thanks if you answer these questions :] i just want to know how to use this camera best before i take 100 more shots!
@amyleemarie No Flash icon or Mountain icon = Auto mode. Flash will fire if required, if scene is bright, flash will not fire. Flash icon on = flash always fires (no matter what). Mountain icon only on = No flash
these might be stupid questions since i've had the camera for 7 months now and have taken 100 shots. but anyway, do you use the L/Lighten function if it's bright lighting outside/inside, or if it's dark lighting outside/inside? and vice versa, do you use the D/Darken function if it's dark outside/inside or if it's bright outside/inside? hope that makes sense. also, when you press the flash button and the bolt shows, that means the flash is turned on right?
@amyleemarie Basically, the Darken, Normal, Lighten settings are like Exposure compensation on a digital camera. It changes the exposures slightly by adjustment of the shutterspeed on the camera. If you select Darken, the shutter will be faster to reduce light getting to the film, if you choose lighten, the camera uses a slower shutterspeed to let in more light. So lighten = indoors, and darken = outdoors, Normal should be fine all the time and change if pics are too dark are too light.
@bbrocks1039 In Canada at least, check out the fujifilm canada website under Instax product page and click "Buy Online" on the tab. It will list several retailers for film. Othewise, please contact the Fujifilm office in your area for more information.
@fujiguys The film was sent to me in March from overseas, so one of the pack of film was opened by the customs. (like literally opened down to only jusr the black case ToT!!) but i didn't realise this until now, and i can't use it for at least another few months ToT!! would that pack of film still work?~~>__<?~~
@yizhouli Film can be damaged due to light leaking in. Keep them in a box for now and away from light. if it is only 1 film pack, place it inside the camera.
I getting one of these camera's in the next week or so. Already have an older instax 20, really loving it. But was wondering why there's only one current model of Instax Wide and 3 current models of Instax Midi? And there's two instax midi instant backs for Lomography camera's, maybe make a wide back for a Holga? Thanks.
@whaiver Normally, the Instax 210 is used for work, fashion samples, realtor, etc.. and the Smaller camera used more for recreational. That is why there is more of the smaller cameras.
@Maithoty It really all depends on what size photo's you want. The smaller camera produces smaller size photo while the larger camera produces of course, a larger photo. I like the look of the small camera as well as the small photo it produces personally.
Once i've taken the picture do I face it down so that the black side is facing up ? And also once the picture is developed do I leave the black film on the back ? Thank you so much fujiguys :) x
@cutiepie2469 Hi, Film comes out from the camera, you don't have to do anything. Don't remove anything as that is how the film is. Don't shake the film, it doesn't do anything (this is a myth)
@scarlethati Pull/push the film out if there is no film inside the camera. If the problem persist and the film still gets stuck, contact your local fuji service centre. Message you from your other posting already on info to contact us.
@boredperson81 Please check out the Mini Instax 7s or the Mini Instax 50s (newest version). Check out YT channel for more info on these cameras. Please note with the smaller camera, the photo will also be smaller in size.
@jkgtnp All cameras with a Optical viewfinder (non DSLR) has some parallax when taking subjects close-up. The further you move away, the less parallax occurs to a point, parallax is not an issue. Truthfully, with the 210, 7S or 50s, i don't get such issues like you unless you are taking photo's of people who are only 1 ft away from you. The 210 comes with a macro lens, see the circle that hangs out from the top left (looking from back of camera). Shooting macro, use the circle as your ctr
I disagree, Billy. This is a defect and any camera that suffers from parallax is defective. I believe the Instax 210 is defective. I am disappointed with this camera.
FYI: I actually have three Polaroid cameras (Sun 600, Sun 660 and One 600) and I have not experienced parallax in any of these cameras.
@jkgtnp Hi, as i can't see your camera, i can't say exactly if it is parallax or and issue on your camera. Can you check with a store to compare your camera to see if there is a difference. There is parallax however it should not be that dramatic as you described. thanks
@jkgtnp No. This happens with any camera with a optical viewfinder. Check out your old one-time use cameras, film cameras, any compact camera with a viewfinder in it and you will see this parallax issue. (except for DSLR cameras as the viewfinder you look at is through the lens via the same optical path). quick google yields camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Parallax
Billy, I've been using the Instax 210 for two weeks now and I notice that the view finder is not accurate. About a third of the photo is cropped on the left side, while a third more of the photo appears on the right side. I've had to frame my subjects on the view finder more to the left to compensate for this. This is a defect on the 210, yes?
@jkgtnp What you are referring to is parallax. Because the viewfinder you are looking at is in a different plane as the lens (which actually captures the scene), you will experience some parallax. If the subject is further away, parallax is minimized however as the subject become closer and closer to the camera, the parallax is greatly increased. If you look carefully at the viewfinder, there are some standard parallax framing lines you can use to help with proper framing.

The asian guy should have smashed the camera on Greg's dumb cranium! Greg get a brain!
@EXPOSEtheHYPOCRITES I agree that the white guy is always giving some lame comments and its usually billy doing the main segment of the review anyway.
@jkgtnp The camera has an electronic shutters that automatically changes between 1/64s to 1/200. By selecting Light or Dark, you forcing the camera to over/under expose the scene by 2/3 stops. If the scene requires 1/200s, if you select light, the shutterspeed would drop by 2/3 stops (uses a slow shutterspeed than 1/200 and lets more light in) causing the image to be lighter. Dark would be the opposite setting. So, if you take a photo and find it too dark, set the controls to "L".
Billy! You take a photo at the very end of the video, and I don't see any flash!?! Is it possible to turn the flash off on the 210, or are you just so over-lit in the studio it doesn't register haha. Please advise! I won't buy it if I can't turn the flash off....
@MuddyPhuddy The flash can be turned off using the button on the camera however lighting needs to be sufficiently bright otherwise the camera will fire the flash anyways.
@AngelicWings5 Not at the moment. The film quality are the same. Its just the size. I would check out our fujifilm ca website on the cameras to see the physical film size. 5.3 x 8.4cm (Instax mini 25 / 50 / 7s), and the Instax 210 is (10.6 x 8.4cm).
After taking a few picture... Like at least 4, then my camera start to work and my picture turns out beautiful. Actually there is nothing wrong with the camera but the films itself, the it looks like the first few film were just dummies. U can confirm it by looking at the nos. of film left stated at the bottom right hand corner of the camera.
Can anyone help me?(: I inserted the batteries but not the flim, and when i switched it on and pressed the button to take a picture, the led screen says 10 exposures. But i did not put any flim in. What's happening?:O
@ProfessorLongbottom 50's is newer than the 210 however it is not a replacement. The 210 uses a a slightly larger instant film than the 50 (uses same as instax mini 7s)
Hi (: I was looking at the reviews for this camera on Amazon, and I saw that a lot of the comments were about how the user is unable to turn off the flash for the camera. However, you mentioned (and even showed!) that there was a button to turn off the flash: I'd like to know if the comments are outdated or if the flash button is just something that is prone to not working.
@scumbling Yes, there is a button to disable the flash on the camera however only in instance where lighting is bright enough will the flash not fire. To test, with the Flash off, taking photo's inside normal office lighting, the flash will still go off. Aiming the camera directly at a light source, the flash does not fire. Hope this helps.
I need two cameras and enough film for 200 shots for an American Cancer Society program for children with cancer, called Courageous Kids. what are the chances for a donation? This program is in its 22nd year and we have volunteer photographers who take pictures of the children with celebrities - e.g. Ronnie Lott. Over 500 children with cancer attend on Mothers Day. Help.
Gay Crawford, Founder, American Cancer Society Courageous Kids program for children with cancer in northern California.
What stores in Ontario sell this camera? I've tried amazon but they won't take debit cards without Visa and MasterCard logos... Thanks for the video, by the way.
@fujiguys Thank you for the quick reply! Yeah, I tired Henry's and they moved from my town. I think I'm gunna order it to a camera store and just pick it up cause I don't have credit. Thanks again!
What is a good instant film camera to get that isn't wide? I love film, I love instant cameras, but I also love it when the photos are in that square format. Any suggestions? Thanks :)
@RealIves96 We offer a different camera (Instax Mini 7s and well as a new instax Mini 50s Piano Black). both are smaller instant cameras that use a small film. 6.2cm x 4.6cm (size of film). Not exactly squared however.
@ryangladstone Film really only goes one way (matching the yellow indicator on the film to the yellow indicator on the camera). I would say to just pull the film out (expect the film to be no good anymore). Use a new pack.
What are the dimensions on the picture that comes out? And how does that compare to the dimensions on the Mini Instax, as well as if you compared both of those sizes to a regular 4x6 print?
@fujiguys My flash fires even in full sunlight. I've covered it with black tape... Still slower shutter speed options would greatly improve the camera for hobbyists. Again, just look at virtually ever instax conversation on flickr. People love the film... not so much love for the camera itself.
I like the film and the format, but the camera is lacking. I hate that I can't turn off the flash, the lack of a slow shutter speeds. I'm not alone, just search for instax on flickr groups. Want hobbyists to go nuts? Add real focus control & a wide aperture lens.
There are guys in your company who get this... Just look at the Fujifilm Finepix X100 12 MP. People are salivating. We love the manual controls etc. Bring this thinking to instax! shot #1: flickr.com/photos/raul/5391414170/
Question to anyone, I've never really used a Polaroid camera in my life, so i wouldn't know what film to buy, does the instax 210, accept Fuji FP 100c ? or does it only use one type of film ? help ?
@immatoy29 Is the film inserted correctly?, First photo that comes up is a cover to protect the film. Try taking the second photo. If you open the back of the film cover, it resets and thinks you place a new film in and again will eject the first photo thinking its the protective film cover.
@emilyes101 Red-eye can occur when using the flash with any point and shoot camera. This does not necessary happen just to subjects with blue eyes. To avoid, have the subject close their eyes briefly and then open them prior to taking the photo. This trick helps with any camera.
I just bought this today and I got it from the mail. I didn't put any film and battery inyet But I notice there is a sound inside when I move the camera side way. Is that normal? can you hear any noise inside when you move it around? please let me know. Kinda worry ..
Hi. I bought the Instax 210. I have a few questions about it and was wondering if you can help me. The flash doesn't turn off, even if I turn it off, it still flashes, even in a bright room. Also do I have to use a film right away? I know when I refill the film and shoot, a black plastic comes out first, then I shot about 3 pictures and stopped for about 2 hours. When I continue to use it, the film came out as if it was the black plastic and no picture showed. How long can I let it set?
@iGoBanAnnaas Use the Flash button to enable/disable the flash. Please note, when shooting in low light (indoors, even with office lighting), the flash will fire even with the flash disabled to prevent underexposure. When shooting outdoors (open sunlight), if the flash is disabled, the flash will not fire as there is enough light to shoot without the need for the flash. As for the film, it should not reset if you leave it for a while unless you open the film slot again.
@fujiguys Oh ok, I think I might have opened the film slot. But about the flash, it was set to off, and my room is very bright but the flash goes on. Even when its day time, the flash goes on and its not low lighting at all. Is this normal?
@iGoBanAnnaas with the film completely out, try testing the camera. Point the camera to a light source. Try it with flash off. See if the flash goes off. In the Fuji office, the flash goes most of the time even when the flash is off. Only when i point the camera to the ceiling light, the flash does not fire. So it depends on how much light is available. unlike a digital camera which has many variable shutterspeed/aperture, the instax is limited to only a few shutterspeed settings
@fujiguys which is selected automatically. So for most instance, the available shutterspeed on the instax 210 needs the flash most of the time except for bright days.
I bought mine a few weeks ago and I have a question: The viewfinder seems to have some kind of parallax adjustment. Is that true? The little circle in the centre of viewfinder is actually going to represent the centre of the picture?

@fujiguys If you find the photo to bright, set the controls to Dark. Hope this is not to confusing and helps you out.

Billy! You take a photo at the very end of the video, and I don't see any flash!?! Is it possible to turn the flash off on the 210, or are you just so over-lit in the studio it doesn't register haha. Please advise! I won't buy it if I can't turn the flash off....
MuddyPhuddy 8 months ago
@MuddyPhuddy The flash can be turned off using the button on the camera however lighting needs to be sufficiently bright otherwise the camera will fire the flash anyways.
fujiguys 8 months ago
hey could you possibly have a video that would compare the film of an instanx 210 and a instanx mini 25?
AngelicWings5 9 months ago
@AngelicWings5 Not at the moment. The film quality are the same. Its just the size. I would check out our fujifilm ca website on the cameras to see the physical film size. 5.3 x 8.4cm (Instax mini 25 / 50 / 7s), and the Instax 210 is (10.6 x 8.4cm).

Alhamdulillah ...
Once again Alhamdulillah ;-)

Is the 210 newer than the 50s or no?
ProfessorLongbottom 10 months ago
@ProfessorLongbottom 50's is newer than the 210 however it is not a replacement. The 210 uses a a slightly larger instant film than the 50 (uses same as instax mini 7s)
fujiguys 10 months ago
I have a Fujifilm Instax 7s mini White.
I'm going to get this next...
Jenniferyoothekorean 11 months ago
Hi (: I was looking at the reviews for this camera on Amazon, and I saw that a lot of the comments were about how the user is unable to turn off the flash for the camera. However, you mentioned (and even showed!) that there was a button to turn off the flash: I'd like to know if the comments are outdated or if the flash button is just something that is prone to not working.
scumbling 11 months ago

Help.

What is a good instant film camera to get that isn't wide? I love film, I love instant cameras, but I also love it when the photos are in that square format. Any suggestions? Thanks :)
RealIves96 1 year ago
@RealIves96 We offer a different camera (Instax Mini 7s and well as a new instax Mini 50s Piano Black). both are smaller instant cameras that use a small film. 6.2cm x 4.6cm (size of film). Not exactly squared however.
fujiguys 1 year ago
would your Instax 210 be a good replacement for the Polaroid 600 camera?
SweeTdeviL889 1 year ago
@SweeTdeviL889 Similar however only instax wide film can be used in the Instax 210
fujiguys 1 year ago
I was in a hurry and loaded the film incorrectly. How can I get the pack out without hurting the camera?
ryangladstone 1 year ago
@ryangladstone Film really only goes one way (matching the yellow indicator on the film to the yellow indicator on the camera). I would say to just pull the film out (expect the film to be no good anymore). Use a new pack.

Can the instax mini film fit in this?

What are the dimensions on the picture that comes out? And how does that compare to the dimensions on the Mini Instax, as well as if you compared both of those sizes to a regular 4x6 print?
MaicoMoon 1 year ago
@MaicoMoon Instax 210: 62mm x 99mm, Mini Instax 7s: 62mm x 46mm. 4x6 print: 102mm x 152mm. Hope that helps.

@fujiguys My flash fires even in full sunlight. I've covered it with black tape... Still slower shutter speed options would greatly improve the camera for hobbyists. Again, just look at virtually ever instax conversation on flickr. People love the film... not so much love for the camera itself.
mexicanpictures 1 year ago
I like the film and the format, but the camera is lacking. I hate that I can't turn off the flash, the lack of a slow shutter speeds. I'm not alone, just search for instax on flickr groups. Want hobbyists to go nuts? Add real focus control & a wide aperture lens.
There are guys in your company who get this... Just look at the Fujifilm Finepix X100 12 MP. People are salivating. We love the manual controls etc. Bring this thinking to instax! shot #1: flickr.com/photos/raul/5391414170/

@mexicanpictures Flash can be disabled however only is very bright lighting situations will the flash not fire.

why the results of my photo is white? I mean blank.is there something wrong with my instax? I am a bit worried
immatoy29 1 year ago
@immatoy29 Is the film inserted correctly?, First photo that comes up is a cover to protect the film. Try taking the second photo. If you open the back of the film cover, it resets and thinks you place a new film in and again will eject the first photo thinking its the protective film cover.

I bought one and it is absouly fab, I just have one question does the flash make blue eyes red
emilyes101 1 year ago
@emilyes101 Red-eye can occur when using the flash with any point and shoot camera. This does not necessary happen just to subjects with blue eyes. To avoid, have the subject close their eyes briefly and then open them prior to taking the photo. This trick helps with any camera.
fujiguys 1 year ago
I just bought this today and I got it from the mail. I didn't put any film and battery inyet But I notice there is a sound inside when I move the camera side way. Is that normal? can you hear any noise inside when you move it around? please let me know. Kinda worry ..
justins01 1 year ago
@justins01 Yes, This is normal.
fujiguys 1 year ago
How long can I let it set?
iGoBanAnnaas 1 year ago
@iGoBanAnnaas Use the Flash button to enable/disable the flash. Please note, when shooting in low light (indoors, even with office lighting), the flash will fire even with the flash disabled to prevent underexposure. When shooting outdoors (open sunlight), if the flash is disabled, the flash will not fire as there is enough light to shoot without the need for the flash. As for the film, it should not reset if you leave it for a while unless you open the film slot again.
fujiguys 1 year ago
@fujiguys Oh ok, I think I might have opened the film slot. But about the flash, it was set to off, and my room is very bright but the flash goes on. Even when its day time, the flash goes on and its not low lighting at all. Is this normal?
iGoBanAnnaas 1 year ago
@iGoBanAnnaas with the film completely out, try testing the camera. Point the camera to a light source. Try it with flash off. See if the flash goes off. In the Fuji office, the flash goes most of the time even when the flash is off. Only when i point the camera to the ceiling light, the flash does not fire. So it depends on how much light is available. unlike a digital camera which has many variable shutterspeed/aperture, the instax is limited to only a few shutterspeed settings
fujiguys 1 year ago
@fujiguys which is selected automatically. So for most instance, the available shutterspeed on the instax 210 needs the flash most of the time except for bright days.
fujiguys 1 year ago
Seems like it's almost exactly the same as the instax 200
16mmDJ 1 year ago
