Rs Focus road car vs WRC Focus

the wrc is a focus is an rs with more kick is was sold to the public before the rs and st170 came out.

the focus on there is a focus 2.0 zetec T-TWO20R (the t means turbo, two20 means bhp and r means rally) the mk1.5 rs is a lesser car and it should have never been given the rs name.

As stated below the RS Mark 1 is a 2.0 turbo with 212bhp. I have owned one for 10 months and its easily the best car I have had. It does torque steer but its amazing what a new set of premium tyres does to cure that. You'll never understand how good the RS is by borrowing your mates, taking a test drive, etc. You need to own one over time to really get it. The bad reviews the car has had are understandable as the reviewers most likely drive it for an afternoon and simply arent used to its style

Actually... the Ford Focus RS is a 2.5 Litre Turbo-charged 5 cylinder with about 300BHP. The engine is a Volvo engine (forget the model).

its shocking that people dont know the proper spec of a Focus RS. Its front wheel drive and has a 2.0 turbo engine. puts out about 212hp.

Why do people always use the hatchback version for tuning/sporting/rallying rather than the saloon? Does it handle better, is it lighter, better or just for appearance. I personally think the saloon version with a spoiler will also look cool and drift well as well.

I think it might have something to do with a shorter wheel bass and the wheels being closer to the edge oif the body.

I'm not an expert though.

Yeah no 4WD. Just a fancy differential. Does have a Garrett Turbocharger though

If you think about the engine alone costing the ford rally team about £60k you start to get a picture as to why the rally car goes the way it does. haha.

The whole focus rs road car was something like £20k new! a 1/3rd of the cost of a focus rally cars engine! :D.

that blue focus doesnt look like the road RS, arches are missing, looks like it has sum cheap kit on, the grill is different, and also every rs iv seen has the rear boot lip colour coded? the wheels dont even look the same =S

it has some sort of arches actually, and watchin it back the wheels are lookin more and mor eliek the standard rs 1s, but like that rear bumper is a standard non rs focus bumper? ride height looks too high aswell, strange
