Pathetic compared to Danish original

well if the TRS guys liked this American remake, they would lose their shit if they saw the original Danish Forbrydelsen, the remake pales next to the original, all the stuff that they loved about the AMC version is done even better in the original

the remake is good, but the original was gripping from start to finish, if you don't mind reading subtitles, track down a copy of Forbrydelsen (The Crime) soooo much better, and there's already been a second season of the Danish show with a new story

@MsChangeamerica seriously make sure you've actually seen something before you comment on it. if anything it does the opposite of celebrate murder, it shows how the death of one girl ruins the life of just about everyone on the show. Which is probably the ultimate message that murder is a terrible thing.

Alex's concern makes a lot of sense, but at least it's something different than the whole "one case per episode". It seems to me that, in both cases, the mystery can only be stretched so far. The secret is to know when to stop instead of making a lot of episodes when nothing happens...

@trentWHY you are welcome to your opinion but not many share it. Ratings and critical acclaim stayed the same from the pilot to the finale.These people who hated it are an extremely small minority and considering every show has people that hate it they mean nothing.

The danish one is called Forbrydelsen', which actually mean 'The Crime'. So they changed the title for the English subtitled one in the UK and this new take on it...but so far seems to be the same show...
