Oh, I really did like the Distillers too, I still do, I can't help it. It's good music. But it took this for me to realize that the Distillers was more Tim Armstrong than anything. I love the distillers and Brody is awesome, therefore Im not going to talk shit about this - im not really into it but I still respect it. However there is no denying that this does sound unbelievably similar to QOTSA. Its very similar in guitar tone, and has the heavy sounding bass lines. Its cool she can do more than one type of rock music, but I think she's kinda been influenced a lot by Josh Hommes music. But maybe this is just Brody grown up so whatever - she is still cool.

it takes a little over a month to record and however long it takes to write the music.

the reason bands release an album a year is because they're touring, not because the actual album takes a year to make.

they started recording way back in OCTOBER.
