It was very interesting for a chief western propaganda media to confirm it. We Africans weren't surprised. I think you should read it. Native African farmers have increased cash crops that is meeting the demands of the Zimbabwe people with the help of funds from China.

But in any case, whether economically viable or not, land reform would eventually happen as agreed upon with the British who were originally supposed to mollify grievances through recompensation for ousted farmers, but cowardly refused to do so after the fact. I think there is a good case for saying Mugabe hasn't handled land reform as well as he could have.

Us Africans are both the victims of European crimes and the African leaders they put over us. You have to really know Zim history esp with Britain and the Boer's crimes in Zim before you can't point fingers at Mugabe. No amount of Western/European condemnation/propaganda will work against Mugabe. He hasn't been removed power because of his support in Zim and Africa is very strong. He is doing exactly what most Africans want him to do, which is to return our lands.

As far as I know, Tutu hasn't held any political office & he is entitled to his opinions. Just as much as he has criticized people, he has also been scathingly criticized both in & outside SA. I am not sure where you are getting your propaganda from, but on the ground, Zimbabwe has improved a lot. There was a report on the BBC of an article titled "Zimbabwe land reform not a failure." It was very interesting for a chief western propaganda media to confirm it. We Africans weren't surprised. I think you should read it. Native African farmers have increased cash crops that is meeting the demands of the Zimbabwe people with the help of funds from China.

But I have a surprise for you; it wasn't food that the Europeans were exporting from Zim. It was Tobacco. Yes Tobacco was Zimbabwe's main export which was Zim's primary source of foreign income. Zim is a top world producer of Tobacco you Europeans consume. The native African farmers have resumed Tobacco production and the economy is stabilizing.

Zimbabwe has been at the mercy of economic sanction since land reform began and as such the country has suffered. But in any case, whether economically viable or not, land reform would eventually happen as agreed upon with the British who were originally supposed to mollify grievances through recompensation for ousted farmers, but cowardly refused to do so after the fact. I think there is a good case for saying Mugabe hasn't handled land reform as well as he could have.

That is untrue. Not "all the farms" have been allowed to rot. Some have done well and some haven't, but that is the nature of reform--perfection is fleeting. Africans' faults have nothing to do with what Mugabe did with his program. Since the 1960s after decolonization in Africa, Europeans averaged 5,000 African people a year in deportation. Its only now that Africans are returning the favor.
