Pretty good cover! This drummer is talented but he doesn't seem to flow with this song. He seems to make it sound as though its skipping here and there, I think hes trying to do too much. but very good overall.

Very few bands can do Death right, but not suprising Obscura did well. I'd pay big $ a ticket to see show where Decrepit Birth, Obscura, and Origin play Death covers in between their own songs.

don't get me wrong, they kick fuckin ass, but i personnally don't see the death-influence in their sound as much as in the other two you mentioned :-)

by the way: if you didn't knew 'em already..check out the band "The Illogicist" from Italy...also plenty of Death-kinda riffing mixed with insane own technical abillity :-)

Origin has covered Death (stuff from Human for sure) and of course are hugely influenced by them. I have heard them do 'Flattening of Emotions' and 'Lack of Comprehension'. Honestly, it was just okay.

Even though Paul's stuff is written much differently than Matt Sotelo, Steffen, Brylls, or Muhammed for example the influence is there. Decrepit and Obscura do sound the closest. Chuck is/was still the master. This song is 8:14 long & interesting/varied the whole time.

@Juggernaut76 well, if you play death metal then Death is always an influence, and even if it's just because Chuck kinda created and that genre and always tried to take it further. (wich he did on an insane level of course^^)

to me Origin just sound a little bit different, not really like death...but of course that's just my opinion. at least we agree that they are kickass musicians that write kickass songs :-)
