  • during my biopsy..my doctor injected me some kind of a drug that put me to sleep soundly... :) but they said my body was conscious but my mind is not... :)

  • Local anesthetic nothing, that looks painful.

  • Should they ever put you to sleep before the procedure?

  • The narrator sounds like the computer voice from Resident Evil lol

  • No one tells you that the doctor can't numb the bone & it is really painful. I just had one this morning & I can barely walk. The procedure really sucks and the dude in this video doesn't make a sound. He must be out like a light. I just had a local injection. I won't do this again unless they knock me out.

  • Just got one done today. It's the third one so far that I've had done. Leukemia is a bitch :-/

  • @wolfmistic im getting my first one this friday...

  • @xmalx22 How'd it go?

  • @wolfmistic in all honesty...it was the most painfull experience of my life and that is actually saying quite a bit.

  • OH GOD i wish id never watched that :( :(

  • Ahhhhhhhh!!!! I am so sensitive to pain that I can't even watch anything that looks painful without me feeling the pain where they do. :'( I wanted to become a registered nurse and I don't think I can deal with it now...I might faint

  • Posterior superior iliac crest...not spine!

You mofos getting this done on you better make sure your doc is trained in the good ol' US of A.....

  • @Houseofthe7gayboys The posterior superior iliac spine is absolutely correct.

  • I can't believe these idiots are touching the anesthetic needles and the jamshidi needle...even if the gloves are sterile, which it's probably not out of the box, you never touch the needles...plus, excessive usage of anesthetics renders the procedure needlessly painful and damaging to subcutaneous tissues, muscle and bone...

  • Doing this tomorrow wished i wouldnt have whatched it.

  • OMG MY GRANDMOTHER HAS TO HAVE ONE I FEEL SORRY FOR HUR

  • i'm due to have bone marrow testing next week and after seeing this i am horrified!! i might cancel!!!

  • @fefefeline I WUD CANCEL TO

  • @briiiloveforeal14 my procedure was done last week and it really wasn't that bad !! I was a little sore for a day but it was nothing analgesics didn't fix. Although i'm still waiting for the results, i guess my fear should have been more focused on that than the procedure !!

  • @fefefeline IT MADE PAINS N CHILLS RUN DOWN ME WEN I SAW THIS VIDEO

  • had this procedure done and only felt a slight pain when freezng was applyed quess my wife was right ,i'm insensative

  • This procedure is definitely NOT as severe as it looks,,,the first needle to numb the pain is the only thing i found slightly uncomfortable.....but that's the stuff that numb,s you...yes you feel a little prodding,,,but painless...and i am a WIMP ! I found looking at this on the internet,,,really scared me ,,,and there was no need to have ...i got up after procedure was done and walked out of the hospital in really great spirits ,,,,good luck and believe me it,s not that big of an ordeal!!!!

  • I had one done when I was 12 to check and see if I had leukemia. Thank God I don't. Turns out I have Chronic fatigue syndrome. I'll never forget the pain. They gave me something to go to sleep but I fought it off cause I was scared and wanted to see what they were doing. I slept for hours after words. It was so tuff trying to figure out what I have. I was upset to see that they rolled out leukemia before Chronic fatigue syndrome.

  • The technique here is pretty poor. The aspirate they acquire is mostly blood, and the needle is clearly not in the right spot. This person is not in a good position for the procedure and there is no attempt to find the right anatomical landmark in the patient. The smear technique is also not correct. The biopsy part is ok. Try a different video to understand aspirates a little better.

  • the second 'needle'is not a needle.Its a straw!

  • Oh my GOD i thought the person was put to sleep, oh no GOD. is this the same procedure when you been prognosticate with lymphoma? OH MY GOD.

  • My treatment lasted for 2 years I'm guessing it depends on what kind you have i had A L L leukemia

  • i am having nausea

  • @AboS7m ....heart brun, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea

  • @AboS7m ....heart burn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea

  • What the hell...Why would they use an injection in a perfectly ok person?

  • I thought shawty was done after the secind needle she stuck in his back... [OUCH*]

  • What a HUGE f******* needle!

  • Jesus Christ. I'm glad I've signed up for bone marrow transplant, but holy hell...

  • I had leukemia and let me tell you what this procedure is no fun and hurts like he**

  • @jadedlady77 My Lady has had this procedure, and diagnosed with a form of leukaemia from it. Could you tell me how long your treatment was for? Ps. She loves Jade. David.

  • Is she even a resident? Improper sterile technique, and the amount of blood aspirated seemed inadequate. Bone marrow aspirate tends to agglutinate relatively quickly, so it should have been mixed with anticoagulant before making slides. Furthermore, the aspirate should have been checked for particles to see if the sample was collected properly. Triphine biopsy technique was, well...

  • Horrible sterile technique! I hope this guy doesnt get a nasty staff infection

  • I NEED TO HAVE THIS DONE... YOUR NUTS!

  • it looks awfulll i was gonna pass out just by watching it

  • The first way didn't seem too bad, but holy crap! When they put that red one in, I almost gagged.

  • that looks so painful.

  • I have anemia ~ terribly afraid to get this done but i'm just going to tell my self that i'll survive it, it only takes 10 to 20 minutes and it may save my life so i guess it's worth the pain. I just hope i don't forget all my motivation and run out of the waiting room or jump out a window to excape lol....

  • @jasrinrin Well how was it?

  • It's almost like an epidural during labour.

  • Holy crap this looks awful.

  • Oh man those giant needles. Ooow...

  • this is brutal almost like autopsy

  • Got that done today!

Basically it's like opening a bottle of wine

But with the anaestetic I felt nothing

  • I thought ur put to sleep..??

  • I had it done; nothing but lidicaine and a few percs first....

  • that looked painful....thing looked like a tv antena

  • Had it done. I didn't scream, but I can't say it didn't hurt. The aspiration is worse than the biopsy. OUCH!

  • I"m getting this done tomorrow, I'm so excited.............not!
