  • now that pickin

  • A man and his guitar !!! Anything added to this, wrather it be percussion, piano, string bass or whatever, would take from the full experience and purity of this !!! Master musician? YES! Master musician capable of touching the emotions of his listeners? ABSOLUTELY YES!!!

  • Found Darrell Scott via Stuart Adamson. A lot of soul and honesty in his music.

    I like.

  • Darrell Scott is the master.....

  • Real talent that has me in aw writing, vocals, playing, Just incredible. If I could play like this I wouldn't care about anything but letting people hear it.

  • I find Darrell's guitar work way beyond accompaniment. It's almost like a duet with his voice and the voice of his guitar. I just love this guys guitar work.

  • Mr. Scott I think you may have earned yourself your own fragrance just like the "amazing artists" of modern music. Wow remember when Musicians as a rule had to know how to play music!! Here's to bending a g string without being a hoe or having a mouth full of nothing to say..

  • Does anyone know the kind of guitar hes using?

  • @BeauMuseVids I believe it's a Stefan Sobell guitar from England.

  • What a great performer!

  • I have never had a crush like I have a crush on this man. He is something intangible. He is pure light and power. Never ever get enough of him.

  • wow. this is incredible...

  • Holy cow that was good!

  • Shades of country, rock, funk and an extreme sense of awareness. Thanks for this, I know for me it couldnt of come at a better time.

  • I am truly addicted lol, cant tell if this really happened or is it a metaphore for lifes ups and downs and how exhausitng we make life out to be ..Thank you DS

  • @LuisJRexach It did really happen :) Over the last 13 years, I have been to 3 or 4 handfuls of Darrell's songwriting workshops & I can tell you that pretty much every song he writes in the first-person is a true story. The thing that is so wonderful about his style is that he crafts his songs so that they are accessible to everyone's experience. LOVE DS!!

  • WOW I am blown away how record companies avoid talent like this.......

  • All of his songs seem like they come from his experiences, like they were about him. like they are coming from his own heart. I like his versions of his songs that are hits sung by others.

  • the lyrics really get me. they actually mean something.

  • Amazing!!!

  • Agreed .. way cool

  • He is an amazing artisst.. love to see more of him

  • Fantastic artist.. I'm glad I discovered this station, it's full of so many undiscovered stars! Love the music I find here!!!

  • Almost certainly this is Darrell's new Stefan Sobel guitar. It is maturing well and sounds quite different from his usual Koa Taylor. This new guitar has an amazing resonance and projection. One of Darrell's best songs too. Wonderful.

  • what a great song... and the guitar playing is outstanding! Darrell Scott is so talented!

  • Awesome musician and great song! I sure wish I could listen to him on the radio but they only play todays "country"

  • @PackersAndTheBand "Today's hot new country" Read: yesterday's tired recycled rock.

  • Respond to this video... I love his "You'll Never leave Harlen Alive" as well. This is a great find! This kind of reminds me of some of John Hyatt's work.

  • @unclebobunclebob - could not agree more. but i'm a little glad the radio hasn't gotten hold of him and rammed in down our throats 85 times a day....that's what makes him a hidden gem to me.

  • Monster picker!

  • true music

  • Again...do you ever hear him on the radio? Instead we get the cowboy hats with the empty songs. Dance music puke.

  • @unclebobunclebob Public radio plays him where I live.....but I get your point.

  • @unclebobunclebob If all diamonds was 2 carat's in size just what would make them unique? DS has uncommon talent (Robert Plant knows this too), as do you uncommon taste in talent, both put together by music.Thats a cool thing no? If DS was common, someone'd be bitchin how no one appreciated Justin Bieber, or cardboard cutout cowboys...I try not to pay attention to radio...the internet has brought to light much cool talent like Darrell....Video stole the radio show..lol

  • @Zeetzma All I'm saying is that it's amazing what the general public will adopt depending on what gets marketed...like lite beer and McDonald's hamburgers. I still find it amazing that once people hear (or taste) the good stuff they ever go back to the mediocre crap that's foisted upon them.

  • @unclebobunclebob I'm with you. Most mainstream music (junk that hurts ears) is used to sell Viagra, Ram trucks, iphones, goofy jeans & lifestyle all subliminally tattoed to some "ass" (its the new american dream). But in fact DS' music actually touches upon the mundane poetic bliss in ignorance 4 some slob carving out a minimum wage existance doin the 9-5 humming whatever the idiotbox is spitting out... tryin to get through it all just like us. Achy Breaky smart eh? lol :)

  • Wow. What a great artist.

  • What a great artist !! tks

  • In-freaking-CRED-ible.

Excellent work, Darrell, keep it up.

  • Excellent!

    Darrell is the complete package!
