  • the films not all blood and violence its a realistic take onto prison and organised crime

  • great film, VERY REALISTIC its nothin silly like snatch or gangster no1, truelly gritty and unique. it drags on a little at times but still a unique gangster film

  • grow the f up

  • Extra ;)- pozdrav Boston ;)-

  • Great movie - long, but definitely worth it!

  • best movie this year

  • WONDERFULL!!! THE BEST FRENCH MOVIE!!! Tahar Rahim is AMAZING!

  • amazing!!!

  • Does anyone know the song from 0.18 seconds please?

  • @penguinagency

Corner of my room by Turner Cody

  • it is about prisons in France and the Corsican Mafia you stupid the film also speaks about people from North Africa beacause some are involved into organized crime even if they do not form a Mafia

  • i hope its not anti-arab

  • its more about prison and politics

  • Lol. Stupid head

  • I'm french, i saw the movie and it's not anti arab, at all!

  • On the contrary it is actually on some levels an allegoryof the ascendency of Islam in France and depicts islam brotherhood - all without irony.

In any case I think you are too sensitive.

  • @annahathis1 Islamic brotherhood? Yeah about as much as The Godfather portrayed Catholic brotherhood.

Malik's a criminal, he's choosing sides and gaining favor with certain groups for his benefit and nothing more.

  • @kicktotheballs that's right! he does not trust in god. well, that's what he says to guard at the begining of the movie anyway

  • @kicktotheballs no, not realy, its also about finding an Identity in prison. wathc how the posters change in his cell, first nude pics, later islam related posters, first a map of sicily, later a map of palestine...

  • @kavkaz7kavkaz No his identity in prison was embracing whatever side that got him the most power at the time. The Arabs saw him as Corsican and the Corsicans saw him as Arab and he used both sides for his own personal gain.

That's why Malik learned the Corsican language when César was still in power, and it's also why he donated money to the Muslims to gain their favor. Malik's greatest skill was the ability is to see the bigger picture in all things.

  • @kicktotheballs thats just one part. the other part is that he found Identity. so explain me why he changed so much in his cell? stop whining, make straight comments

  • @kavkaz7kavkaz WHO IS WHINING FAGGOT?

  • @kicktotheballs your mum not..she raised a big mouth online rambo. keep wanking ; )

  • @annahathis1 Where the hell are you draw these retarded conclusions about the film from? It's not an allegory of the ascendancy of Islam in France . This is a mob flick, if there's any comparison to made here with A Prophet, it's going to be with Godfather 2. Malik's story is the same as a young Vito Corleone.

In any case Anna, I think you're a bit of cunt.

  • @kicktotheballs you are a scared racist asshole who obviously deserves the name you have given yourself. By the way, how many times have you been kicked in the balls??

  • @annahathis1 Get fucked cunt

  • @kicktotheballs talking to your mum? or whats up with you?

  • @kicktotheballs You are charming. My dear, we are all entitled to our opinion but you obvioulsy are a facist retard. Goodbye!!

  • @annahathis1 YOU KEEP YOUR WHORE MOUTH SHUT! GOT IT CUNT?

  • @kicktotheballs HAHAHA - boy you are one angry little goat shit arent you? You have no idea how to debate and converse with people without resorting to abusve tactics. Your IQ is maller than your shoe size. Get off your fucking soapbox you facist pig!! Everyone is entitled to an opinion - if you dont like it I suggest you crawl back into your slimey, rotten, rat infested cave and never come out again - you are a waste of fresh air, a blight on society and completely irrelevent.

  • This trailer makes it seem all cutty and cool but don't worry it's not. It's like the best of Goodfellas, Scum and The Godfather pressed into one movie. Very good indeed.

  • can someone explain to me exactly how did he become a kingpin? i got confused...i know he double crossed his boss but how did he do it?

  • Spoiler:

his boss basically lost out when the amnesty occured, on his day trips he also started setting up independently with gypsy, latif, his mate and he double crosses his boss by having his boss's mafia disown him

  • whats the track at 52 seconds??

  • what language is it in?

  • Lets assume English.

  • watched it last night. french. good movie!

  • Actually they speak French and Italian/Corsican.

  • one of the best movies i have ever seen in my whole life !
