Also, a news story proved this fake. I believe a Japanese reporter, or chinese student, followed the instuctions on how to break down the cardboard and make the 'fake buns', and at the end there was no way anyone couldn't tell.

I am a caucasian American from Washington, D.C. I lived in China for half a year. Google the story -- reporters tried to recreate the recipe, and it didn't fool anyone. Health standards are terrible in parts of China, and the safety in their manufacturing is horrible, but this story was just concocted by a journalist who needed a sensational story. Even if it was true, you can find a few horrible similar transgressions is even the safest countries.
