@michael102387 are you kidding me? The Rev, in no way was better then Mike Portnoy. I'm not saying that the Rev was a bad drummer. He has already lived up to The Rev's reputation. Mike IS recognized as a top 10 drummer of all time. Portnoy when to Berkeley college of music and learned proper percussions techniques that made him a better drummer. The Rev did have some formal "lessons" at a young age though. Portnoy is a better drummer/percussionist than the rev was. Trust me.
