We had a fan like that when I was a kid. It wasn't an Emerson though. I remember the name was something like Robbins.

Emerson and Hunter made some fantastic fans, and very durable, Emerson motors truly were built to last.

Nice fan i have a similar model. three speed oscillating Emerson fan. Great fan "built to last" is what is displayed on the front of my fan, boy they sure mean it!!!!!!!!
