I wouldn't be surprised to see Smoker as an Admiral, but considering he's only a Captain, he'd probably only get bumped up to Vice Admiral, since they're the ones most likely to take the two empty Admiral positions.

There are good pirates and good marines, as well as bad pirates and bad marines.

For this series, you have to judge each character individually by their actions, rather than by what faction they're in.

But Luffy uses haki in his attacks now and a LOT of haki in Red-Hawk so it should definitely be able to hurt a logia type. @8889 It wasn't Akainu who ordered the Buster Call, he was just a Marine Vice-Admiral at the time who happened to show up in the Ohara Buster Call. Same with Aokiji who was a Vice-Admiral back at the days, and Sengoku who was an Admiral given the Golden Den Den Mushi to Spandine, who called the Buster Call.

Akainu give his reason why he destroyed a ship with all non-scholars even though he is an Marine himself. It's not "good" but his sense of justice is the same as Lucci for example.
