LotRO - Great Barrows Instance run - Landroval (1/3)

just wondering, what level do you unlock great barrows, i havent really looked at the classic instances, cuz i can never find anyone to get in a fellowship. or is it one of the starting instances at lvl 20?

oh yah and Landroval is the best server evar! :D

@ButtigiegStudios Replied before I was awake [removed the bad info reply]. GB opens at level 20. The 3 wings are level gated. Wing 1 [The Maze] is minimum level 20, Wing 2 [Thadur] is minimum level 22, and Wing 3 [Sambrog] is minimum level 24

I hate these low lvl instances!!! I also hate all the starting places in lotro because that's where all the 7 year olds play. All the free to play people in this game are retarded mostly lol. Game environment gets much better at Moria +

@arnity123 ... Usually when denigrating an entire population of players it is best not to write like you are one of the ones you "hate". I have met many free players in the game who are much better behaved than some of the "VIP" players [I say this as a Lifetime Founder[VIP]].

Work on respecting others and maybe people will take your opinions seriously, as it is right now I totally discount you because of your lack of maturity in this comment.

@Incorepted Uh.. huh? I set my resolution to widescreen and played... I Also recorded at full resolution and it fits into HD 720p for YouTube. Not sure what you are asking.

@Incorepted I moved the UI elements around with Control + \ keyboard command [this unlocks, and then relocks, the UI]

@Incorepted It "fit" widescreen already, just the default layout is somewhat cluttered. By moving the UI I can put things to where my eyes are [for vitals] or out of the way [quest log, etc]. The main issue w/ widescreen is the lower height vs width, making things look scrunched and clunky - moving the UI and using the scaling helps alot.

Can captains backup heal good?

@BlinginTom With the right Trait spec I think they can do a decent backup heal job, though having an RK to backup the Minstrel is preferred (imo). I suggest looking up the Captains Roundtable podcast episode of A Casual Stroll to Mordor - they have some great tips and talk about various captain roles.

What is this instance? Is it the one you have to kill thadur and those really hard bosses? or is this a different one? i am level 21 almost 22 and getting ready to do GB.

@rygon100 This video is actually of the old Great Barrows instance when everything was a single run. I believe that this part is segmented off between The Maze and Sambrog's wing now [though the section of quest is after you put the key together so it would be Sambrog section now - just different]. In the old instance there were not mini bosses for each segment, just the Twins and then Sambrog himself.

@LegoBear2 That may change with the updates to the instance system. GB is now broken into 3 parts, so you don't need a large chunk of time for a single sitting run through. Each part is gated by a deed given when you defeat the mini-boss of the previous part (with Sambrog being the final bos in Part III - the Skull Key is now automatically created when you finish the first 2 parts, no forging needed)
