So according to f0cusen not only would be the longest hitter on the PGA tour by a wide margin but he would most likely win the remax long drive competition but he has never competed because he doesn't need the hundred thousand for winning because he's already earned hundreds of millions in day trading even though he's still in high school.
My impression of his childhood - "Mom look at me, Mom, Mom, Mommy, watch this, Mom." did you see that Mom?"
I don't get how he has 10 mph slower clubhead speed than guys like tiger and yet Trackman or whatever they are using, says that the ball goes 360 when guys in the longdrive comps have swings speeds averaging around 140 and higher to achieve that distance. Just seems sus to me... There is footage of tiger and Phil on youtube with the same clubhead speed as dustin, however, trackman says that the ball carried 270 yards.

dustin is a uniqie player in that, he consistantly bombs it 310, but can crank out an extra 30 yards at will. however, he cant max himself out to the point of the other guys like bubba and garrigus and jb holmes, because his wide setup doesnt allow for the hugest of the huge swings.
It's a shame to think some people are saying they're close to him but in reality they aren't yeah you might get to 324 or to 290 but it doesnt carry that far it has roll i bet most people with a handicap of like 5+ who have a 300 yard drive or 270+ have anywhere from 30-60 yards of roll depending on how hard the fairways are.
I've played maybe 20-25 rounds of gold since i recently got interested, im 17 and hit 295 yard drive, crazy to think im not that far of johnson!!! its a shame only 5% of mine land in the fairway :D
@bossofalltime it wasn't the fact of him hitting it that far it was how he was so chill about it like when he asked him if that was farther and he said " a lil bit"
@tim191219 I'm sorry you are so misinformed. The max length is 48" USGA, it is just measured differently. And Dustin, Bubba and Garrigus recently got smoked by 2 time long drive champ Jamie Sadlowski in an event in Hawaii, where Jamie used his "standard" length driver to hand them their jockstraps.

Search BubbaLongDrive for the footage.
@tim191219 Contrary to what you might think, 2" or so inches of shaft length doesn't make a huge difference in swing speed. Most of the LDers would out hit him by 30-40 yards with a standard length shaft. And DJ would be lucky to hit 130+ mph clubhead speed. He'd get smoked in long drive, but so what. He is a fantastic golfer with a great, athletic swing, and he's fun to watch on tour.
My dads friend Jeff used to play college golf for Tennessee State and he can honestly hit it farther than Dustin but he is not a very good putter but when he has his putter on he is the best player I've ever seen bar none he actually beat tiger and David Duvall in a college tournament he shot 64 and a 67
@bunkerputt It's not so fast :p My clubhead speed is 121-123 If I step on it I can reach 125 easily 324 is not that far okay it's pretty far but I can get there 324 yards is 292 meters
@f0cusen 363 is a poke dude. Sure long drive hitters hit it 380-420, but they have extra long drivers, and let's remember that Dustin has to hit it in the fairway. Plus he can do other things like have a short game.
it's scary to think how good johnson could have been had someone been looking at him in his early years.Well, for one,he'd probably have a US open under his belt and that's a career right there.
@rw5791 whats scary is that if some misguided pga pro got a hold of him and taught him the 8 step swing or the stack and tilt...he would be average at best...he is better off doing it his way.
@PUArtista ,a qualified teaching professional would never let a young developing player maintain a shut clubface .It's just got to be very difficult to get back to square at impact when the face is pointing to the sky at the top.
@rw5791 that sucks cause i have a shut club face and can work the ball very well and i am only 5'6" and 110 pounds and average 260 off the tee so i don't think the shut club face won't matter much. :)
@McIlroyfan29 ,there's 2 ways to have the club face shut at the top.Either with a strong grip or by bowing the wrist. It's best to have a neutral grip and keep the wrist flat.If the wrist bows out it should be when you make impact with the ball.
@rw5791 you wouldn't teach it but if you think about it there's less that can go wrong: he doesn't have to turn the club over as much and if you've got the distance you don't need to. butch says he won't change it because that's just the way he swings. obviously works.
@themothmanreturns ,that's the point of the flat wrist, you can burn through impact without fear of going left.Hogan actually cupped his wrist(club pointing at the ground). At the open final round you could see dustin had both hands on the wheel trying to steer the ball to safety.Anyway, harmon won't change it because it's too late. It's not like tinkering with a swing,it would be like learning to walk again.
@rw5791 without fear of going right you mean. with a closed club face at the top you could hit a huge hook if you turn the club over too much. the point of the cupped wrist is to eliminate the left side of the course. hogan was sick of the hook so he opened the face as much as he could going back which meant he could turn it over as much as he liked going through and it wouldn't go left. it was just the pressure that stopped dustin winning, hed never been there before, im sure hes learnt from it
@themothmanreturns,maybe it was the pressure that made dustin start hitting everything left at the us open but he was supposed to be known as a flatliner.I suspect however he'll wind up like duvall and azinger, very talented but hampered by bad technique.
@rw5791 i dont know about that. duval had his success, he won the open then he lost his drive for golf and spent time with his family. as for azinger, he got cancer after winning the pga. i think they were both very successful. u cant compare any other tournament to a major, dustin simply couldnt handle it, he will mature though. i dont think technique plays that big a role, at the end of the day its about how many putts you hole but dustins length will help him a lot, give him plenty of chances
@themothmanreturns ,azinger had been on tour for 10 years before the cancer got him.Sure,he did get a pga but there's an old saying that one major win always leaves people guessing if it was a fluke.Paul had a very strong grip and, like you said,he had to keep his lower body moving to avoid turning the club over.
@return135 you dont have to swing hard to get distance, proper technique and good torque gains the clubhead speed which then creates distance, thats why theyre so good, effortless
I have seen several of Jack's clinics. I like how he unreservedly praises the new breed of golfers. He learned that from Bobby Jones when Jack was the foremost of the long-hitting youngsters in the early 1960s. Golf's greats can be a little vain and it is hard for some of them to give credit where credit is due; not Jack, who is a class act.
So according to f0cusen not only would be the longest hitter on the PGA tour by a wide margin but he would most likely win the remax long drive competition but he has never competed because he doesn't need the hundred thousand for winning because he's already earned hundreds of millions in day trading even though he's still in high school.
