@Verification11 Its the 7L version, and it is over 500HP, even 600HP according to my sources. There are now many new versions of this car, just search on Google on Mosler, you can check. I don't know in which state they make this car...
@Verification11 They sale it with both engines entry version and 7L version they even have one with supercharger and turbo version. But the Key in the mosler is that is a track car so it weights a lot less than a vette.
@DerOllie I'm not really feeling the 2 tone orange/ black that's all. But I absolutely love this car, the MT900 is probably the best street legal race car out there, especially as most people don't know what it is!
@Mcdunkey I heard the ones built in Florida are painted by untrained cowboys and usually have several resprays before it can be given to the customer. Seeing as the body panels are carbon fibre, that will probably mean the paint weighs more than the panels so yeah actually. Though this one is European, it just means you wouldn't want to lay eyes on it with a hangover!

Well I think its obvious, but ill explain: Its a very very very rare car found in a very very very rare/strange location (City Centre Dusseldorf instead of f.e. The Nurburgring), and the car is painted in the most obvious colour, Orange, so it stands out everywhere. This is a race (kind-of) car found on public roads... :D

Düsseldorf in the 3rd richest city in Germany, and if you like exotic and very rare cars, its the place to be in Germany, the Konigsallee is the large shopping street there. Making supercars like the Mosler MT900 is not big in our culture here, that is why. If we wanted, we could blow the competition out of the water if we truly tried and spent billions of dollars in such an area.
We make the F-22 Raptor, the most technologically advanced jet fighter in the world, so we sure as hell can make the best supercars if we truly wanted to!
The F-22 Raptor that became too expensive to keep in operation. The military and space program that went the same way. But when it comes to cars, motorcycles... When the government isnt paying, there has never been focus on quality. When you do make fast cars, Mosler, Saleen, SSC Aero, and... thats the entire list I think, its always the same. Steel tubular chassis as seen in racecars since the 60s, big engine, prefabricated race parts, sell 20 cars and go bankrupt. Hardly competitive.
@Janusha It's not too expensive to keep in operation. However, the government abusing its power and overspending on many other useless misc. things, we're now in debt. That has nothing to do with the advancement of our technology as thus proof to our ability to make amazing vehicles when we REALLY want to. And yes, the F-22 was funded by the government, but PRIVATE COMPANIES designed and built it, just like they do on all of our military equipment.
Mosler, Saleen, SSC, etc. are all very small, low-budget (compared to Ferrari, VW, Porsche, etc.) companies though, and they're low budget because like I said before, the SUPERCAR business is not big in American culture. In Europe it has always been huge to make tight-turning, leather-interior sports/super cars. It's in European culture for over 50 years now, and plenty of competition within Europe to keep those standards high.
Most Americans always had low-cost "working mans" cars as our main culture.
Also cars for "straightline" speed, because we do not have tight, narrow roads here, like seen in most of Europe.
Trust me when I say : IF we WANTED TO and spent billions of dollars on design and fabrication of super-cars like Europe does, and some Japanese car companies do, we WOULD be at the top of the game. Our amazing military equipment is proof of that.
F-22 was supposed to take over but is today out of service for being too expensive and impossible to sell abroad. They are even talking about cutting the LONG overdue F-35 JSF much to the dismay of the international community that ordered planes and helped pay its ever escalating development costs. They price themselves out of the market. Russian sukhoi series matching them at a fraction of the cost but it would be politically incorrect to buy theirs.
Ofcourse america CAN build stuff. They put 2 more or less working cars on Mars and 1 on the moon. There is no reason to fail at cars on this planet. Infact now that GM is out of bankruptcy, nothing prevents them from returning as a quality brand except their determination not to. They took their cut of the 100 billion bailout money and effectively fled the country and Chrysler was given away to Fiat for free.
Nobody expects bankrupt america to rise and match European cars today-
But even when they had all the money and manpower in the world, qualuty was never a focus. Its not just hypercars and supercars for the rich, america DONT make. Its also GT cars, Sports saloons, Sporty SUVs, Hatchbacks, Hothatches, superminis, traditional sportscars, track cars and certainly no excetutives. Infact... see If you can name 2 american built cars that sell successfully outside america... And how can you tell me america dont WANT to build internationally competitive cars?

@SuperDziugas Are you asking why i put this on Youtube? Well I think its obvious, but ill explain: Its a very very very rare car found in a very very very rare/strange location (City Centre Dusseldorf instead of f.e. The Nurburgring), and the car is painted in the most obvious colour, Orange, so it stands out everywhere. This is a race (kind-of) car found on public roads... :D

@BrnoutJerzey Well i can remember i was kinda shaking when it drove up, not knowing what to expect. The driver could have put it on full gas, revving it like a mother, and that would have caught me off guard. Would have sounded great though!! :D

Hate to break it to you all piss poor car great idea the went all wrong i built them in west palm beach florida (Riviera Beach) to be exact sorry to ruin it for you all but these cars are the worst put together kit cars I've ever had to lay my eyes on. A whole bunch of other car parts stuffed into there own chasis lame

@Leok450 kinda, carspotting is the technical term. Düsseldorf in the 3rd richest city in Germany, and if you like exotic and very rare cars, its the place to be in Germany, the Konigsallee is the large shopping street there. Its a nice day out with some friends, and doing some very rare carfinds here. Check out my other spotting video from Düsseldorf!!

Making supercars like the Mosler MT900 is not big in our culture here, that is why. If we wanted, we could blow the competition out of the water if we truly tried and spent billions of dollars in such an area.
We make the F-22 Raptor, the most technologically advanced jet fighter in the world, so we sure as hell can make the best supercars if we truly wanted to!

The F-22 Raptor that became too expensive to keep in operation. The military and space program that went the same way. But when it comes to cars, motorcycles... When the government isnt paying, there has never been focus on quality. When you do make fast cars, Mosler, Saleen, SSC Aero, and... thats the entire list I think, its always the same. Steel tubular chassis as seen in racecars since the 60s, big engine, prefabricated race parts, sell 20 cars and go bankrupt. Hardly competitive.

@Janusha It's not too expensive to keep in operation. However, the government abusing its power and overspending on many other useless misc. things, we're now in debt. That has nothing to do with the advancement of our technology as thus proof to our ability to make amazing vehicles when we REALLY want to. And yes, the F-22 was funded by the government, but PRIVATE COMPANIES designed and built it, just like they do on all of our military equipment.

Mosler, Saleen, SSC, etc. are all very small, low-budget (compared to Ferrari, VW, Porsche, etc.) companies though, and they're low budget because like I said before, the SUPERCAR business is not big in American culture. In Europe it has always been huge to make tight-turning, leather-interior sports/super cars. It's in European culture for over 50 years now, and plenty of competition within Europe to keep those standards high.

Most Americans always had low-cost "working mans" cars as our main culture.
Also cars for "straightline" speed, because we do not have tight, narrow roads here, like seen in most of Europe.
Trust me when I say : IF we WANTED TO and spent billions of dollars on design and fabrication of super-cars like Europe does, and some Japanese car companies do, we WOULD be at the top of the game. Our amazing military equipment is proof of that.
Up to you if you want to deny the obvious. ;)

F-22 was supposed to take over but is today out of service for being too expensive and impossible to sell abroad. They are even talking about cutting the LONG overdue F-35 JSF much to the dismay of the international community that ordered planes and helped pay its ever escalating development costs. They price themselves out of the market. Russian sukhoi series matching them at a fraction of the cost but it would be politically incorrect to buy theirs.

Ofcourse america CAN build stuff. They put 2 more or less working cars on Mars and 1 on the moon. There is no reason to fail at cars on this planet. Infact now that GM is out of bankruptcy, nothing prevents them from returning as a quality brand except their determination not to. They took their cut of the 100 billion bailout money and effectively fled the country and Chrysler was given away to Fiat for free.
Nobody expects bankrupt america to rise and match European cars today-

But even when they had all the money and manpower in the world, qualuty was never a focus. Its not just hypercars and supercars for the rich, america DONT make. Its also GT cars, Sports saloons, Sporty SUVs, Hatchbacks, Hothatches, superminis, traditional sportscars, track cars and certainly no excetutives. Infact... see If you can name 2 american built cars that sell successfully outside america... And how can you tell me america dont WANT to build internationally competitive cars?
