wow.. I saw him live in a little club in Norway. Our club couldn't afford bringing the whole band over, so he just played with what we had - the house band. I've never seen the house band play that good. Its amazing to see how one person can make a whole band better.
He's a regular now, by the way. I'm going to see him now for the 3rd time this May. If the volcano on Iceland would just quiet up:)
i really wanna learn how to play... but what are some pro's and con's of the chromatic harmonica and diatonic?? i just don't know which to get... any suggestion is welcomed, thanks
cromatic is hard to bend notes and make it sound bluesy but it's good for a jazzy type sound. plus your moustache gets stuck in the slide and i hate that. diatonic fits better in a shirt pocket but you have to learn to play cross harp which i'm still learning after 40 years.
James Harman is an amazzzing guy!!! where was this????? Looks like Junior Watson on guitar...I've see Harman here in Cincinnati.(Queen City Blues Fest)....
Grab a harp in the key of "Low F" and give it a try...it's like playing a Tubba ... and this my friends is "Old Time Blues" ... James is Very Good at what he does...it's not as easy as it looks...it take a serious amount of breath to move those low end reeds
WONDERFUL!

@Tomas9308 Give a try to Hohner's XB-40. It's kind of the best of both worlds, for me at least.
It's a diatonic with the ability to produce all 12 tones of the chromatic scale. You could look on my channel to hear one.
