No, Taiwan is an island being controlled by the ROC. The PRC branched off of the ROC way back when, so they're the ones who "rebelled". Both are in a civil war that's still going on, and will hopefully end with peaceful reunification (at least, I'd prefer that). I'm Chinese, so I would know.

No, Taiwan is an island being controlled by the ROC. The PRC branched off of the ROC way back when, so they're the ones who "rebelled". Both are in a civil war that's still going on, and will hopefully end with peaceful reunification (at least, I'd prefer that). I'm Chinese, so I would know.
