Okay, just about everyone is wrong here. I have had a couple 3rd generation Firebirds so I will clarify for you all. Pontiac made the Firebird model, which could come as a Trans Am Firebird, but it was more than trim opitions-suspension, wheel size, engine, etc. were different on a T/A. In the 80's, Camero Z28 and Firebird T/A did share engines-the former Chevy and then called "coorporate" small block V8. 3rd gens began in '82, not '81.

jesus you people the "trans am" is a trim package on the Firebird. its the same deal as the SS Camaro (they are both F bodies, the Camaro being a chevy and the Firebird being pontiac. other than that they are pretty much the same car)

Actually the year of the vehicle is between 1983 and 1987. 81' and 82 were still the secong gen body type, KITT is a 3rd gen.

also the a-team van was meant to be there aswell BUT!

the idiot who was loading the van crashed it..

so it was unable to attend the expo.

which was a shame coz i would of liked to see it..
