"Tell Me How" -- my favorite Buddy Holly song. I love the drive behind this entire song especially the way the stand up bass and guitar work together, and of course the gentle Lahs, Ahas and Oohs from the Crikets! Love the way he throws in a Holly hic-up too. Very under appreciated song.
@dmcnicho1 i agree, but i did want to pick you up on one thing... the backing vocals were not in fact supplied by the crickets on the actual recorded, they were overdubbed by Gary and Ramona Tollett on the early records and a vocal group called the Picks on later buddy recordings....
@cdlund1987 Yep, with the exception of Nikki Sullivan on a few early songs, the Crickets never sang backup on the records until they reformed the Crickets AFTER Buddy's death
Just Awesome!!!!!

Agreed, this should have been an A-side. Some of Buddy's best are flip sides of singles.

BUDDY HOLLY - NOT FADE AWAY
BUDDY HOLLY - Icon.
If it weren't for his friend Elvis, I reckon will be calling Buddy - the king of Rock 'n' Roll.
Be nice if some enterprising producer can join their voices to create a duet - the joining together of the 50's icons.

@tenniscollector Then again, it was Elvis who turned Buddy to rock 'n' roll, though it would've been awesome to see the two icons make a duet.
