  • wonderful

  • So talented

  • what bone head 14 people dislike this video

  • @seanpierpont lol!!! you couldnt have sad it any better they got to be babies!!!

  • am i the only man in britain to think tammi is the most beautiful woman in the world ??????

  • @karrikay58 I'm sorry mate I'm willing to admit she is a beautiful woman. but my wife is the most beautiful woman in the world we met at 16 years old and have been together since peace .

  • @karrikay58 I have to agree with you! What a spirit she was. I'd like to see Beyonce Knowels play her in a movie covering she and Mr. Gayes' relationship.

  • @karrikay58

    no

  • Oh God, please bring us Tammi Terrell and Marvin Gaye back, she has a soulful voice and she's beautiful as well...We need more Marvin And Tammi duets..No more hiphop, just give us more arts into music similar to this.

  • what a pretty girl she was

  • one of the best songs ever they really need to make a movie about marvin and tammi :)

  • So beautiful and so talented and gone too soon. We'll missed you Tammi Terrell, and of curse, Marvin Gaye. RIP.

  • elza collins!!

  • Tammi was so Beautiful & Talanted. These two were a Singing Match made in Heaven sort to speak.James Jamerson"s Basslines are "killer' on the Old Motown Songs. This is ONE of them.Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell...Two of the Greats Gone, but not forgotten ! BASSCLIF MUSIC tm

  • fab

  • beyonce has talent but she is note in the class of these singers

  • 2 musical geniuses.

  • terrance howard would be wonderful to play marvin gaye . he is cute just like marvin was and terrance can sing too reallyreally well. if he dropped something i would certainly pick it up. i don't know why he has'nt already but someone need to make this movie, tyler perry, oprah, somebody. i love this record i am going to listen to it again

  • Tammy was surely a beautiful woman

  • beautiful!

  • If they ever did a movie about this duo, not sure who would be best

to play Marvin, but for Tammi, its gotta be Taraji P. Henson. Great

actress, and she really resembles Tammi a great deal.

  • better voice then beyonce sucks

  • `tami had the best voice then any black women today

  • @mariabbb1964

Huh??? Tammi was great, but there are entirely too many Black female

singers with incredible voices, for your statement to have much merit.

Oleta, Rachelle, Chaka, Gladys, Chante, Tamia, to name just a scant few.

Also, you obviously are one of those who don't seem to understand

that you can actually praise someone without first putting down someone

else. I'd wager that Beyonce has done more with her life, already, than

you'll EVER do with yours. If she sucks, you swallow!

  • Thank you very much for this video...Great pictures...Great song!

  • wow how can people dislike this song?? seriously this music is way better than the music now-a-days

  • @nikiyahaston92 ITS NOT D SONG :(

  • @nikiyahaston92 It's just a question of taste. You can't discuss people's tastes.

  • @nikiyahaston92 a million light years better...i only wish i had a woman as good as the one in this song

  • @nikiyahaston92 all because they don't know anything about music,,,((((real music))))

  • amazing talents this world had....i wish we had something like that nowadays. RIP marvin and tammi

  • God, I Love These Beautiful Singers! Miss Them......

rip Tami & Marvin...........you will Never be Replaced!

  • my girlfriend and I just decided this is our song. we started long distance so it speaks pretty loudly to us. plus we have the *real* thing :)

  • It would be hard to beat the tragedy of being shot by a father, yet the death of Tammi at 24 tops that ...... They left such a legacy and the happiness that they shared comes across so strongly in their songs- they were clearly soul mates and hopefully they are singing together somewhere in heaven..... Both really beautiful people touched by God in their lives....

  • Aww. :D

My mom is in love with their songs.

  • two beautiful souls singing a beautiful, meaningful, song thaaaaaat goes all through you.Love them both forever.

  • my favorite too...my mother loved this song...thats how i grew up wth motown..thnx mom..love you......they were so good and they were young especially tammi...ced

  • Two of the most talented singers of the 20th century

  • What a doll! She was.

  • @romienomie yes she was truely a doll...sooo beautiful n angelic

  • OH MARVIN!

  • Thumbs up all the way! One of the best songs ever. PEACE

  • Tammi Terrell was originally a protege of Soul Brother #1 James Brown, and recorded under the name Tammy Montgomery with a sultry tone entitled "I Cried". She also recorded a under-quality standard under the same Tammy Montgomery moniker entitled "If You See Bill", before moving on to MoTown, where the rest is history.

  • A'intNothingLikeTheRealThing~ダイアナ・ロスよりズットチャーミングだった!無念~モータウンの黄金期、マービン・ゲイとタミー・テレル

  • This may the best duet of all time.......Just brilliant

  • pure class! I was a white teenager in Australia, and no music spoke to me like Soul and Motown. I love this stuff and always will. Tammi, what a doll! Marvin, a genius. together, monumental!

  • @mrshad544 marvin never really got the credit he deserved by the general public. at the time roy orbison and johnny cash were better known here! marvin was a pure, musical genius. i was primary school age when motown first hit and i have been a fan ever since. youtube is brilliant for allowing others to see motown stars in full flight. have a good one.

  • i think someone should find out who this brancool88 is and expose him for the pathetic fool he is. I hate these ridiculous and vulgar posts from people hiding behind an anonymous user name. If anyone knows who this person is, please post their details on here and we can go round to his house for a chat!

  • Voices like velvet, but they could belt a tune out!! Oh memories!!

  • When music ment something <3

  • ain't nothing like real music like this

  • Wow, this was our music!! I was just home from the "Nam" when this song came out. Just 21 in !968----what the hell happened??????????

  • so sad she died so young ..

  • Beautiful Song

  • im just 13 and i listen 2 these songs but my friends think im weird :(

  • @chloeiscute100 you are not weird you just have a ear for good music. I love this song too so you are not alone ;-)

  • Tammi Terrell looks like she can be taraji p. henson older sister

  • what a hook!

  • Kanye Sampled This For "Christmas In Harlem"

  • I still get a shiver down my spine when I hear this ---absolute magic

  • I feel like I'm the only young person who listens to old motown songs like this.

  • @TheJoeTC: No you are not the only one, you have some company here!.

  • @TheJoeTC you aren't alone believe me there is many people like you!!!!!!

  • @TheJoeTC

Trust me kid u ain't alone and im only 22 and I've been in love with this music since 5 years old but im glad to hear that I'm not alone lol

  • Why is it that so many fine, sensitive artists are the victims of abuse, like Marvin and Tammi. It seems so sad and wrong.

  • She Was Real! She Was Fun,,G>B

  • At 0:26 lord have mercy I might be 27 but she was beautiful. I love the oldies all the songs I listen to now are 70's 80's 90's. Miss dem days

  • She doesnt looks no9thing like Taraji, if anything I seea little of Chrisette

  • The greatest duo ever. (Case closed.)

  • @jrothke: And there is NO DISPUTING that!.

  • 1:07 now thats a bad outfit ... Hey wifey check this out !

  • keep singing in heaven Marvin and Tammi!

  • Beyonce would not be the natural to play Tammi Terrell. Taraji P. Henson is the one, because she looks so much like Tammi, and Taraji is an EXTREMELY talented actress, able to capture Tammi and all her essence.

  • This is one of my all time favorites. A great duo. Always will be missed.

  • IT WAS A WONDERFUL IDEA TO HAVE 2 TALENTED PEOPLE COME TOGETHER AND MAKE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. IT OPENED DOORS FOR OTHER ARTIST.

  • she kinda look like taraji p. henson. So beautiful and timeless.

  • Comment removed

  • @carlagirl7 yea she does kinda, but idk why she reminds me so much more of Taraji Henson for some reason.

  • @dancinstarr10

Hi .....I also think actress TAMALA JONES could play Tami in a movie ( if one ever gets made). Tamala starred in the movie The Brothers as DL Hugley wife and she looks very much like Tammi Terrell ,,,

  • @carlagirl7 your right tho. But I thank her and Taraji favor

  • too bad there is no LOVE button! Beyonce could play Tammi!

  • @AishaBoothHorton I don't think Beyonce can present what Taraji Henson will bring to the part artistically speaking... kinda like apples and not the proverbial oranges but lettuce! LOL! No dis to B but this needs to be done CORRECTLY...

  • I never knew what happened to her. I just heard Marvin wasn't the same after she passed away. Very tragic love story is all I know.

  • Thanks for this video very touching. These two were amazing. Gone too soon!!

  • They were so amazing together. My favorites for sure. Both had tragic ends. Pray they are in heaven.

  • its terrible tht the majority of the motown artists are dead :-(

wish they were still alive & well to make more good music like this . dnt get me wrong i love my generations music .. but no doubt the oldies are MUCH BETTER !

  • @coleycross we need more of our youngens singing like this,, proper music,, gets ya straight at the heart :-)

  • Tammi was beautiful and so talented.. It's sad that she had such a short and painful life :((

  • brilliant ...they went together like "strawberries & cream" :))

  • look at the pic at 0:34 just shows the love and passion for life and music during those times. artist these days can't give that feeling u get when u here music from the past. dam i wish i was born in the 60's!

  • There now both in heaven singing this song. They for sure had the real thing when they were together.

  • @teehonky - and a simple negro like you - what do you like?

  • @uhavechrist if i were a N----r , i would still love Frank Sinatra

  • The Perfect Motown Song. In every way!

  • there's a movie coming out about her and "TARAJI P.HENSON WILL play witch is great i think

  • Like so many of our brightest stars, Tammi made the absolute best of her short time on earth. I was listening earlier today to my local oldies station. I heard this brilliant track, which led me to further online research. I was stunned...stopped short, to learn that she died at the age of 24. I'm 50, and I've been listening to Tammi's records for my entire life. Tammi got it done before most of us figured out how to tie our shoelaces. God Bless you Tammi.

  • What an awesome duo...among my all time favorite singers... ;^)

  • i know one thing that tammie was one beautiful girl

  • @sheddski

agreed. Some people get all the looks. :)

  • musical soul mate! just luv them both r.i.p. tammi n marvin! :)

  • Only they could move me/groove me! It's on!

  • she was so pretty and classy, and marvin so handsome, i didn't know if they were togheter, but they were very close friends that'sure, cause one of the reasons of marvin's breakdown was tammi terrell's tragic death

  • Does anyone know if they were really a couple at some point ? Any point. They were so cute together.. (^_^)

  • @ninaastarlight By most accounts, Marvin and Tammi were close friends, but they were never a couple. Marvin was married to Berry Gordy's sister Anna at the time, and Tammi had been dating the Temptations' David Ruffin. Marvin was devastated when Tammi died, and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that when they were singing, they were two people in love.

  • @Meridian83West ..Thankx for gettin back to me. i know they did have this magic. :-)

  • Marvin & Tammi together was the real thing.

  • michael jackson did a cover and he did just as good as her

  • that's right. ain't nothin' like the real thing. and this is REAL music.

  • Ain't nothin'' like real music !

  • Even when was I was a little girl I loved her voice. I was so sad when she died. She had Beauty and Brains. WOW 4 yr scholarship to Uof P.

  • tammi terrell is that girl 4real...did she leave behind any kids???

  • @youthfan22 no cause she was 24 when she died and only engaged

  • As I'm writing I can't get over by believing, along with my family and friends on how we all were part of the mix and saw at first hand from all of this pure talent. Never thinking that this time in history with Tammi, Marvin and the many of the artists' in front behind the screen were going to be celebrated once again.

  • @WHP2005 Regarding "The Unsung Story" about Tammi Terell's life...

  • This woman was GORGEOUS

  • @Geezyone i agree watching unsung i wanted to cry

  • I had no idea of Tammi's tragic life beyond her untimely death but after learning about it...her music comes alive in such a vivid way! All of her tragedies seem to add a greater dimension to her talent. Despite everything...it was always about the music.

    Thank You Ms. Terrell....for everything.

  • i love u Tammie....RIP!

  • don't miss her unsung episode

  • I don't care what age I live to see, I will NEVER understand why the WONDERFUL people suffer abuse and leave us so young. Both Tammie and Marvin were such an incredible loss. Good Grief, I feel such grief over the things they suffered and could not enjoy life to the FULLEST. They were so electric together, such purity, such love, such gentility. RIP, Gee it just hurts.

  • Gosh this sing so reminds me of my early mornings going to skul cos it's my alarm LOL

  • best soul ever?. Maybe.

  • @calafichannel THE BEST :)

  • OMg where did u get those rare pictures ???

  • Tammi Tarell you will be missed and you too Marvin Gaye

  • i've got the karaoke to this song

  • yeah, ain't nuthin' like the real thing!!!

  • she looks like Beyonce... or maybe, Beyonce looks like her. :D

  • @BabyZora Hope to God they don't share the same fate. Please God...PLEASE!

  • @BabyZora She reminds me of Taraji P. Henson instead

  • @lilkamer Ohmigosh! Taraji P. Henson could SO play her on film! You are RIGHT!

  • @DEFinitivelyHis i agree so much,dats wat i was thinkin when i seen unsung

  • marvin gaye was such a handsome guy. wow.

  • Good song

  • ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL, AND ME AND MY SISTER WITH THE DEODORANT AND THE BRUSH , AND WE WERE MARVIN GAYE AND TAMMY TERRELL....... GOOD TIMES.....I MISS THOSE TIMES.....R.I.P. TAMMY AND MARVIN, YOU BOTH GAVE US WHAT WE NEEDED, AND THEN GOD NEEDED YOU.....

  • Such a wonderful woman. What a pity she died so violently

  • Rip.You 2

  • i know that they were married every one had their couple, but i know that they were lovers, he was so beatiful guy and she was pretty. I imagen behing of the stage would have strokes and pure love between the two

  • beautiful video!Beautiful song!

  • Hey there's also a doo wop version of the song who sings it? does anybody know?

  • Did they date or??? Love the song duo exspecially 'ain't no mountian high enough'.

  • One fine song!

  • Marvin Pentz Gay Jr.

    Marvin Gaye

    April / 2 / 1939 - April / 1 / 1984

  • Beautiful!

  • This literally puts tears in my eyes. Marvin and Tammi at the peak of their duet powers -- both no longer with us. Thank God they were with us to show us what LOVE sounds like in song.

  • BLACK LOVE!!!!!!

  • xD I'm here cuz Ash said, "There's nothing like the real thing," a few minutes ago, and, I get to see the full version. ouo

  • Sometimes fate is a cruel thing.RIP to both of these great artists.I love this song!!

  • gorgeous woman

  • Tammi was so pretty and seemed to have such a love for life. She seemed irresistible.

  • This is as good as it gets. Substance and style, vocal charisma and timeless harmonies and melodies. The music will ALWAYS live on.

  • Agree totally....just awesome!

  • Beeeaaauuutttiiifffuulll

  • A very beautiful voice along with a beautiful woman.
