@karrikay58 I'm sorry mate I'm willing to admit she is a beautiful woman. but my wife is the most beautiful woman in the world we met at 16 years old and have been together since peace .
@karrikay58 I have to agree with you! What a spirit she was. I'd like to see Beyonce Knowels play her in a movie covering she and Mr. Gayes' relationship.
Oh God, please bring us Tammi Terrell and Marvin Gaye back, she has a soulful voice and she's beautiful as well...We need more Marvin And Tammi duets..No more hiphop, just give us more arts into music similar to this.
Tammi was so Beautiful & Talanted. These two were a Singing Match made in Heaven sort to speak.James Jamerson"s Basslines are "killer' on the Old Motown Songs. This is ONE of them.Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell...Two of the Greats Gone, but not forgotten ! BASSCLIF MUSIC tm
terrance howard would be wonderful to play marvin gaye . he is cute just like marvin was and terrance can sing too reallyreally well. if he dropped something i would certainly pick it up. i don't know why he has'nt already but someone need to make this movie, tyler perry, oprah, somebody. i love this record i am going to listen to it again
It would be hard to beat the tragedy of being shot by a father, yet the death of Tammi at 24 tops that ...... They left such a legacy and the happiness that they shared comes across so strongly in their songs- they were clearly soul mates and hopefully they are singing together somewhere in heaven..... Both really beautiful people touched by God in their lives....
my favorite too...my mother loved this song...thats how i grew up wth motown..thnx mom..love you......they were so good and they were young especially tammi...ced
Tammi Terrell was originally a protege of Soul Brother #1 James Brown, and recorded under the name Tammy Montgomery with a sultry tone entitled "I Cried". She also recorded a under-quality standard under the same Tammy Montgomery moniker entitled "If You See Bill", before moving on to MoTown, where the rest is history.

look at the pic at 0:34 just shows the love and passion for life and music during those times. artist these days can't give that feeling u get when u here music from the past. dam i wish i was born in the 60's!
Like so many of our brightest stars, Tammi made the absolute best of her short time on earth. I was listening earlier today to my local oldies station. I heard this brilliant track, which led me to further online research. I was stunned...stopped short, to learn that she died at the age of 24. I'm 50, and I've been listening to Tammi's records for my entire life. Tammi got it done before most of us figured out how to tie our shoelaces. God Bless you Tammi.
she was so pretty and classy, and marvin so handsome, i didn't know if they were togheter, but they were very close friends that'sure, cause one of the reasons of marvin's breakdown was tammi terrell's tragic death
@ninaastarlight By most accounts, Marvin and Tammi were close friends, but they were never a couple. Marvin was married to Berry Gordy's sister Anna at the time, and Tammi had been dating the Temptations' David Ruffin. Marvin was devastated when Tammi died, and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that when they were singing, they were two people in love.
As I'm writing I can't get over by believing, along with my family and friends on how we all were part of the mix and saw at first hand from all of this pure talent. I don't care what age I live to see, I will NEVER understand why the WONDERFUL people suffer abuse and leave us so young. Both Tammie and Marvin were such an incredible loss. Good Grief, I feel such grief over the things they suffered and could not enjoy life to the FULLEST. They were so electric together, such purity, such love, such gentility. RIP, Gee it just hurts.

i know that they were married every one had their couple, but i know that they were lovers, he was so beatiful guy and she was pretty. I imagen behing of the stage would have strokes and pure love between the two
This literally puts tears in my eyes. Marvin and Tammi at the peak of their duet powers -- both no longer with us. Thank God they were with us to show us what LOVE sounds like in song.

Huh??? Tammi was great, but there are entirely too many Black female
singers with incredible voices, for your statement to have much merit.
Oleta, Rachelle, Chaka, Gladys, Chante, Tamia, to name just a scant few.
Also, you obviously are one of those who don't seem to understand
that you can actually praise someone without first putting down someone
else. I'd wager that Beyonce has done more with her life, already, than
you'll EVER do with yours. If she sucks, you swallow!

This literally puts tears in my eyes. Marvin and Tammi at the peak of their duet powers -- both no longer with us. Thank God they were with us to show us what LOVE sounds like in song.

This is as good as it gets. Substance and style, vocal charisma and timeless harmonies and melodies. The music will ALWAYS live on.
