Like so many of our brightest stars, Tammi made the absolute best of her short time on earth. I was listening earlier today to my local oldies station. I heard this brilliant track, which led me to further online research. I was stunned...stopped short, to learn that she died at the age of 24. I'm 50, and I've been listening to Tammi's records for my entire life. Tammi got it done before most of us figured out how to tie our shoelaces. God Bless you Tammi.

Marvin was married to Berry Gordy's sister Anna at the time, and Tammi had been dating the Temptations' David Ruffin. Marvin was devastated when Tammi died, and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that when they were singing, they were two people in love.
