For you idiots out there: A switch blade is any knife which can be opened be depressing a button that is within the confines of the HANDLE! This activates a release, and a spring draws out the blade.

A spring assisted knife, uses manual pressure to begin movement of the blade, where at a certain point, the spring takes over and draws the blade the rest of the way.

For the price there are a ton of better knives out there, Plus paying a premium for a marked up auto-knife that contains DALTON'S name is just a weak marketing gimmick.

Every brand has their gimmick and mark up. I'm quite sure Cold Steel turns a profit as well otherwise they wouldn't be selling knives. But to each his own... the reason there are so many brands to choose from is because everyone has different tastes.

These knives are top quality and are made with craftsmanship and skill hardly ever seen in todays FuckIt&ChuckIt world.
