Good job man. I'm sure you kept Drizzt as true to form as you could with the options offered you by the game. I used to read all the Forgotten Realms books about Drizzt as a kid, 10, 12 years old. The Crystal Shard trilogy, the Dark Elf trilogy, etc. etc. Way to go.

@DarkbroskiFTW No. I just like characters that seem real. Like Drizzt did up until Silent blade. Now he is just this annoying super hero with annoying friends. Ghost King was a really  bad read in my opinion, where Drizzts emotions were close to ridiculous. Gantlegrym was better, but it was Bruneors story. Like many of the last "Drizzt" books, it's been about other characters and when it comes to Drizzt his inner conflicts seems silly. Give me Entreries Character anytime. Way more interesting.

Not to be critical, but he seems a bit tall and too built. Drizzt is actually kind of small in frame and frail looking, but very fast and agile. Also instead of fire, it should be ice because one of his swords is icingdeath and the other is twinkle. I've always pictured him to have longer hair as well.

Excellent job on the armor and the coloring though. Overall I'd rate it 4/5 because aside from the minor details that I mentioned, he looks pretty good. Nice job

Oh, and Drizzt does actually make an appearance as a playable character for some time in an action game: Demon Stone. However, he's totally lame both dialog-wise and in combat, far worse than all the main characters. No dark elf ownage there.

Yes, they are different. Kratos from GoW and Dante from DMC are also different, but in essence the game is the same. In fact, Dante fighting with two swords in DMC3 is very similar to Drizzt. Change the character and the scenario, keep the action gameplay, and you got a rocking game!!

Actually, the thing I think sets the drizzt books apart from every other fantasy hero book is that it actually goes a bit deeper, and has good, evolving character themes. Especially in the first three books, though the Icewind Dale trilogy is a bit more... flat. And then it gets better again in the later books.

I think an action RPG would be best suited for drizzt, or an adventure action with much story, like Prince of Persia.

Though I don't know which different styles are available in SC4, I agree that it doesn't really fit him. He's constantly refered to as hitting extremely fast, and in his combats with Artemis Entreri, the sound of steel on steel often becomes one constant ringing. A blade on a blade IRL makes a sound that loses most of it's sound after about .2 seconds (me and a friend tried this), so they had to hit at least 5 times/second.

Noted should be though, that this was with longsword on longsword, and both were dulled. While I don't think the dulling would make much difference, a longsword is thicker than a scimitar so a scimitar might sound for a bit longer.

You have to take in account the curvature of the blade itself, this affects the dissipation of the ringing as well. Also, remember that he is a fictional character, and no "standard" person could possibly hope to match the speed depicted.

Yes, the shape will of course have some effect, but it's hard to know how much. And of course no standard person could do this, but the point was that the movement in the video was to slow, and they aren't normal people either :)
