I've lived in AZ most of my life and know how hot our summers can be--there is no reason to start a fire to "keep warm" in the desert because the temperature at night is anywhere from 70-90 degrees. The people crossing the borders want to avoid detection for obvious reasons so starting a fire just defeats the purpose. Chances are some idiot threw their cigg butt out the window and viola! a FIRE. That's how it usually happens......
