I wonder if Terry Jacks was given a choice of whether to sing live or lip-synch? He probably was, but decided to go with lip-synching because it sounded more "natural". German TV - that's a long way just to travel some 8,500 miles from British Columbia, Canada (where Terry resides) to perform a lip-synching gig! He probably was over there to perform at various functions as well. At 62 years of age in 2006, Terry still looks good for his age AND still has that head of hair (albeit shorter)!

This IS a lip sync. As one can see in the end, it is a german show. And in all german shows the music is lips sync. And in the end when the music fades away, you can't have any doubs at all. It's just the record playing with the artist doing lip-sync.

But it's still a wonderfull but sad song. And I heard it for the first time a few years after the release at a friend's place when I was about 9.

@Lizzpear no no seriously it's not lip synched - go watch that video I refered to - you can easily tell he's not lipsyncing in that one AND it sounds just like this one; that's the way he sings NOW (well, a cpl yrs ago). If he happens to sound exactly the same as he did originaly, then all the more power to him, but that's certainly him singing.
