eat tons of food several days before a long flight and build up. FLying really sucks your energy. YOu will need some extra calories for your big journey. IT really does drain you. I mean it
I remember one year at toronto airport i could actually smell the airplane jet fumes in the terminal. I think it is coming in through the aircraft bridges when passengers off load. IT is a concern
the only good flights are when its totally clear skies. when its cloudy you don't see any terrain. Unfortuantely its not easy to predict if youre flight will be totally clear skies which always seems to be the best flights across the north atlantic to toronto. CLoudy conditions for the entire flight really suck
that annoucement tune at 0:07 reminds me iof first trip to the rocky moutains. you have to admit the scenary on the flight to vancouver is amazing. if its youre first time make sure you get a widow seat or you will miss the experiecne of a lifetime on the flight to vancouver.
0:17 is a 777 is it not? Look at the turbofan blades. Waved blades aren't featured on the 767. The airplane in the first several seconds looked more like a 767. Either way, sure looks like a Canadian winter. Where were you going?
@benlawr2000 Yeah it was definitely a 777. The first 16 seconds looks like a 767, but after that the aircraft changes to a 777. I don't think the 767-200 has the range to fly from Toronto to Hong Kong non stop, also at 0:17+ the turbofan blades represent the 777 engines. So I'm certain the aircraft was a 777 after 0:17 into the video. Ugly looking winter.
@benlawr2000 Ummm couldn't have been a 767-200... first of all you were bound for Hong Kong 767-200(ER)s dont have the range. Secondly, two jetways are connected to the aircraft, B767-200s only have one entry/exit door on the port side of the aircraft. B777-200s (including Air Canada's LR) have two port side doors. Therefore its a Boeing 777-200LR not a Boeing 767-200(ER). So KSharp320 you're right!!!
@101watever101 Oops just noticed... first 14 seconds is a Boeing 767-200... then 14+ is a Boeing 777-200LR... play the video over 14 seconds and you'll notice the change in aircraft... as one is of a lighter blue shade... and there is only one jetway connected in the first 14 seconds, but two connected after 14 seconds!
holy shit! i've never seen snow in my lfie and i'll probably travel to toronto in january. if i wanted to see snow by the first time toronto looks like is gonna give me my deserve! it's gonna be a tough first time! woho!
I'm going on vacation for the holidays and will be back on jan. 8th, I hope there's no storm when I get back to Toronto, nothing worse than not being able to land in Toronto, I'll already be missing a week of classes
Canada is generally more prepared to handle snow than most of Germany, simply because of experience. The place in Canada where they're not well-equipped to handle snow would be Vancouver and Victoria area of B.C. The rest of Canada is very well prepared.
alot of aircraft have a ground guidance system for airport taxi diagrams and ground guidance. its similar to the sat nav systems in cars except its uses map data for airport taxi ways and intersections
i use to work for-american airlines in boston. i know all about winter, like deicing the 777 in a noreaster.was the terminal cold on a long delay. i use to see people sleeping on cots or on the floor in the winter. in a cold airport.
Fortunately, it did. Flights were as usual that day, except for our flight... Unfortunately, we were told the pilot did not make it on time to the airport. lol
LOL it's Canada this is nothing if your an airline and you dont take off in this you will get fined by GTTAP for wasting there time. Welcome to Canada
lol! i had to work out there. i remember me an my boy careening around in a baggege tractor at about 2am dodging those plows and not thinkin i was gonna make it outta there alive.

the 10 hour delay isn't because of the snowstorm, it's because you chose air canada, 10 hour delay is early for them!
