  • i love this song + the gleaner combine

  • Also the 9600s had teething problems too but Deere was better at satisfying their customers. They just know how to sell. Allis used to be good at selling combines too but without dealers you can't sell iron. The Gleaner conventional combines like the L and M series were the best in their day. Sit in an L2 and then get in a 7720 or 7700. Big difference.

  • Yes, the transverse is a great design with lower hp requirements that axial rotors like Deere and Case. If it weren't for Deutz Gleaner would still have a large market share IMO. They were #1 in sales and resale value all through the 70's in the US market. Today there are few dealers and you can't sell iron if you don't have a dealer in the area. The early N series had a bumpy road at first but I see the N in your video is a late model. Deutz shouldn't have quit with the conventionals.

  • what would you say does better, your john deere or your gleaner?

  • More grain on the ground than in the tank with that gleaner

  • @LML199 Gleaners transverse rotor is actually a very good design and has very low percentage grain loss when compared to the MOG put through it.
