The only thing missing from this documentary was Paul Simonon. I hear he was still too distraught to talk about Joe since they were really close... A glaring omission, nonetheless. Paul's perspective would've been nice to hear.
you should watch this. it is awsome. so inspiring. even if you don't like punk rock after this you're gonna go and listen to some of the songs. joe is amazing.
Haha, to each their own I suppose. It's all for the beat now, nothing about the meaning. That's why punk's so great, haha!
Oh man, I wish I was alive back then. You're lucky to see that show though. That's insane! And seeing John Lydon, the living legend! Makes me jealous hahaha.
iam big fan of the clash ,,iam deepy feeling sad joe pass on i did not know this ,,i miss this guy ,,,,sad for me ,,but bless music this band made what they stand for ,,sorry for family lost of great guy ,,rip joe
A fooking true legend of punk rock and the world is a sadder place without Joe and his unique style of music!
Missing you now more than ever Joe...went to see your sidekick the other day(Mr Jones) with his Audio dynamites..pretty good,but not a patch on you Joe and The Clash..lol!
I'm proud to say that I am a 14 year old kid and I know who The Clash is. In fact, I idolize almost every single thing about them. Especially Joe Strummer. RIP.
This movie was one of the most inspiring things I've ever watched. Ever.
@IguanaSpunk Who the fuck cares how old you are? The music is timeless. And it´s for everyone, all ages, all nationalities. Joe is the white Bob Marley. A banner of humanity. You don´t have to be 50+ to appreciate that.
Sorry, the uncalled for "Who the fuck cares about how old you are?" usually throws off a person from the rest of the actual sensable thing you're trying to say.
@IguanaSpunk So you just leap straight at me? Without knowing the entire story? The worldwide history of police violence and corrupt legal systems come to mind.
Who the fuck cares if I sound like a prick? Johnny Rotten was a prick. Captain Sensible was a prick. Mick Jones was a prick.
The legend lives on because there are still people out there who are sick and tired of everything around them, and there always will be. Not because of some butthurt 14-year old.
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that because Mick Jones and Johnny Rotten were pricks meant it was okay for you to be as well. Excuse me for not realizing that common courtesy never has and never WILL exist with scumbags like you living in the world.
You leapt straight at me speaking out of turn. It was a heartfelt comment, which you had to go ruin because someone little the bloody fuse on your tampon.
Piss off. You aren't worth my time argueing with. Fucking ignoramous.
@IguanaSpunk No, but you idolize everything about him, and his band. And you are a fanboy. And to speak of such matters are important. Get the word out.
@IguanaSpunk Oh? So you don´t idolize his care for oppressed people around the world?
Do you think The Clash were important? Do you think Dylan was important? Marley? No, they weren´t. They were normal people. Just like you and me. Normal people are the backbone of everything. On Joe´s cover of Redemption Song, he explained this in the beginning of the video.
How? Through your pop music and obscure references to conflicts, tied in with heartbreak? You are the one who insisted on arguing back
Well, I checked out your profile, to see what I am up against, and nestled between an orange background and Coldplay covers, I find your description. In that I found bands like Green Day, Evanescence and 30 Seconds To Mars. Pop music. I put two and two together basically.
And I'll say it again: I was only mentioning my age to prove that he still lives on through MY generation and hasn't wasted away into the new crap. It had nothing to do with my showing off, because it's nothing TO show off.
@IguanaSpunk I'm proud to say that I am a 10 year old kid who knows a lot of the best bands from 1965 to 1994. My freinds say that all of that is rubbish music. at least i know what the word music means!

Remember we could watch a video without commercials?
Remember when music videos were uploaded by users not VEVO?
Remember when all the info was right of the video?
Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars?
Remember the famous yellow Suscribe button?
Remember when users controlled the site and not coroperations?
We miss the old Youtube post it on every video and lets start a Youtube revolution.
Thumbs Up to keep at top.

@IguanaSpunk And I confirmed that, half my post was committed to Joe Strummers awesome.

Sorry, the uncalled for "Who the fuck cares about how old you are?" usually throws off a person from the rest of the actual sensable thing you're trying to say.
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk It´s irrelevant how old you are. I explained that in my first comment. Look at the last line
intenzez 8 months ago
@intenzez
Reread what I just said to you. "Usually throws off a person from the rest of the thing you're trying to say."
Seriously? You sound like a prick when you say "Who gives a fuck" like that.
As I said, I was just proving that this man's legend still lives on. You're just being unnecissarily rude.
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk So you just leap straight at me? Without knowing the entire story? The worldwide history of police violence and corrupt legal systems come to mind.

IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk You just proved that you are indeed butthurt. You fanboyed all over this great film with your common courtesy and good behaviour.
intenzez 8 months ago
@intenzez
Hard to fanboy when I'm a chick now isn't it?
I give back what I get. I don't need to stay calm and collected for pissants like you.
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk No it isn´t. Fanboying is someone any one can do. It´s not a matter of gender.
I do not believe pissants can read or write. I´d be happy to be proved wrong.
intenzez 8 months ago
@intenzez
Fanboys are sexually ambiguous? Huh. Well that's good to know then.
This arguement is becoming increasingly more boring as the time goes by.
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk Alright, let´s argue about something real then. What do you think about the Israel/Palestine conflict. Which side do you support?
intenzez 8 months ago
@intenzez
Neither.
I don't feel like debating over Youtube either, especially when it's irrelevant to the actual video.
Make sense?
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk How can you not support the palestinians?
Why not? Joe always spoke of matter such as this one.
intenzez 8 months ago
@intenzez
I'm not Joe, now am I?
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk No, but you idolize everything about him, and his band. And you are a fanboy. And to speak of such matters are important. Get the word out.
intenzez 8 months ago
@intenzez
I said ALMOST everything.
To speak of such matters are important to people who ARE important. Sorry to break it to you, but you're not.
Yeah, I'll get the word out. But not through you-- a troll that seems to enjoy searching for fights in the pettiest of things.
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk Oh? So you don´t idolize his care for oppressed people around the world?

intenzez 8 months ago
@intenzez
Don't put words in my mouth. Don't twist what I say. That just proves how petty you are.
"Without people, we are nothing." I'm aware of that.
Pop music? You're kidding me, right? Whatever. Point taken. I'll stop this arguement now then.
Have a nice day.
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk I read between the lines.
Good. You contradicted that statement.
Well, I checked out your profile, to see what I am up against, and nestled between an orange background and Coldplay covers, I find your description. In that I found bands like Green Day, Evanescence and 30 Seconds To Mars. Pop music. I put two and two together basically.
intenzez 8 months ago
@intenzez
I don't need to stand up for the bands I like to make impressions on someone like you.
Please, seriously. Just drop the whole freaking arguement.
IguanaSpunk 8 months ago
@IguanaSpunk Well, the idea of you making pop music was apparently laughable. And you are into pop music.
