I did it and it came out good.

I used one yard and it came out a nice size, but not for school. My only problem is that I used a super strech fabric instead of cotton or something with more support so I can't put heavy things lk a water bottle or a big notebook (but it was the fabric not the bag design)

I'm going to do it again but with better fabric.

what are the dimensions on the "large" fabric you used?

when I made the bag, I used stitch witchery AND ran a simple stitch through my handle pieces before I wrapped them...it's much more secure that way. :)

ok, I just did it using 2 yard of fabric and it worked good. However, am a little worried about "wrapping the handles" as they are not secured. I wrapped it with the extra fabric strips 1" wide and did it really tight and if you don't put heavy stuff in there it should be ok ...
