they wont land them in the srcub out bush because to worried might damage the underbelly, you try ducking down with you pack on being 70-80kgs and you can't use the door guns on landing as the doors go forward , the guns need to be brought in to open the doors
theTechnology in this helicopter is very impressive. In Italy are constructed transmissions, the tail section and provide for the final assembly with the testing and the delivery of the helicopter to the Governments of Italy, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Greece, australia, and someone else that I do not know ... ... I think this is a large volume of work for the Italian industry. can't find? Sometimes those who don't know things should be silenced.
@igloo2au73 the main reason we are getting them is that the aussies are getting them as well, because the two of us work together in our backyard of the south pacific we both try to use the same gear to make it easier to work together, what problem do you have with the nh-90?
@pramboy09 you mean besides not being able to land them out bush as there to low too the ground , not able to put more than 9o kg on the rear ramp , rear is to low for average height person , can use gun when landing as need to pull it inside as door moves forward
@igloo2au73 how is it unable to land in bush because it is low to the ground? surely the rear ramp can be improved and wouldn't be a big fix so it can carry more weight, so what if the door is a bit low surely soldiers are capable of ducking as they run out? sorry i don't really understand about the issue with the gun can you explain that again?
@superbrown69 read wikipedia every country produce their own helis. The NH90 was initially intended to be produced at three exporting assembly lines; Cascina Costa in Italy for AgustaWestland, Marignane in France and Donauwörth in Germany for Eurocopter. The Nordic and Australian contracts stipulated production locally (the Nordic ones at Patria in Finland and the Australian ones in Brisbane).
I visited a few days ago the Assembly line ..... Technology in this helicopter is very impressive. The Supermare WGTT 300 with GE engines and METAL fuselage and five BERP M/R Blades maybe a better machine, Is the NH90 crashworthy also? NH90 is a beauty and flys like a dream, at least it appears to be perfect in flight.
The NHI NH90 is a medium sized, twin-engine, multi-role military helicopter manufactured by NHIndustries. The first prototype has it maiden flight in December 1995. It has been ordered by several nations, and deliveries began in 2006.
