  • its like i'm a kid again though i just became an adult not so long ago i'm imaging myself seeing beauty for the first time my face has this sheepish smile across it i'm just staring at this image i'm wondering who is this person, i want to ask them why they are so beautiful, i just look and look i smile and convince myself that this person is perhaps the most beautifulest person i have ever seen i look up at the mirror reflecting what looks to be me it took me ages to realise that i'm beautiful.

  • @ashley101verve wellcome wellcome

  • American Beauty must reffer to Newman's music.

  • i love thomas newman's music. deep haunting & powerful

  • unbelievable album, as close to genius as contemporary music can get

  • "You might think my dad's harmless, but he''s not. He's doing serious psychological damage to me."

    "How so?"

"Well, now i to need structure and discipline."

  • thomas newman generates music that is successful at intriguing its listeners, through a series of well crafted tension-releases, sustains and delicate timbres. However there is no inherent genius or anything sublimely special about him. He is just a master craftsman.

  • @chazzithebrit cool, you know big words.

  • @chazzithebrit dude, stfu. Inherent genius? Sublimely special? Life's too short, man.

Sure ambient works from groups/artists like Ulver, or Philip Glass, or William Basinski may be pushing more boundaries and displaying more raw vision, but in the case of Newman, it's about how amazingly he creates sound that not only seems appropriate being played over films, but that elevates the films to new heights; becoming inexorably linked and necessary. Beauty

  • "You like getin' nailed by the king"?!? Everytime I see that actor now, I think of that hilarious motel room scene!

  • this movie was truly a masterpiece, i think it nailed a lot of our societies problems right on the head. No matter what your social standing is here in America, there are alsways big secrets.

I loved the fact that the entire movie, the ex-military father was disgusted by homosexuals, then he turned out to have those same feelings. thats how so many people are in America, we all wear masks, hiding the ugly underneath.

This movie has climbed into one of my favorites

  • the part when frank witnesses his son ricky and lester and "thinks" hes blowing him thn goes berserk on ricky is one of the strongest scenes in the film, the acting of chris cooper(as frank) was simply amazing

this is one of my favorite movies easily
