Just tried to go to Sure to Grow website from the link and got a message of a possible malwear issue so thanks I will watch what it says but I am not going to buy from there.
@Untsaiyi these guys are largely full of themselves. but to answer your question quality air pumps are generally rated in LPM{minute}. the depth of your system will vary how much air you need. Get a big ass pump and LOTS of air stones. more surface area the better. you want bubbles everywhere! get an alita or hiblow air pump and you will be good to go. get the alita silicone diffuser tubing, weight it and cover the entire bottom of your system with a coil of this tubing. you are now golden :)
"... the store you are buying the pump from. Pumps also come with different ratings. The point we are making is using air will be very helpful to your grow and plants.

I got an response in PM and thought I'd share it with everyone. This looks like the best we'll get from them:

I have a question about air pumps. You say 28 liters air per gallon water is optimal, but I'm a little confused...
Say I have a 950GPH air pump... that's roughly 251 liters per hour. So do I divide that 251 by 28 to see how many gallons it can support? I.E. ~9 gallons? Or am I doing it wrong?
I suppose I'm mostly confused because pumps are rated by the hour... and I don't know if I need 28 liters air per gallon every second, every minute, every hour, or... what? Thanks.
i'm building a larger scale of this setup, one question i'm using a 4x8 tray that the plants will sit it,, if I don't want to use the sure to grow cube or the floating foam,. my thought is 3 gallon smart pots sitting in hydrocoil red rocks. would I still need air stones under the rocks? wats your thoughts about that design?
you can just put the holes in the yellow lid...and not need a water pump at all just air stones and a perculatin tube that uses another ai tube to push the water up...and throw a fogger in there:)
Hi Sure To grow i jus want to start by saying thanks for the DWC Idea i made a 30 site bubbler cloner and it works well But
im having trubble keeping the Ph stable im using a ph down product but the Ph keep raising
i normally ph the water to 5.5 a few hours it can raise to About 8.0 what could be causing the ph Swings ? if i can get the ph sorted this cloner is the best thanks
@dannygeale Only idea I have for ya bro is use Reverse Osmosis Water,, if your not already,, if ur using tap water could be that you have hard water in ur area, hope that helps, Grow Green!!

Great video how to however it is stated that you need 28 liters of air per gallon of water in the the grow table. Question, pumps are rated at liters per minute so do you mean 28 liters of air per gallon of water in the grow table per minute? If otherwise please let us know?
@NaturalMystic072010 did they ever respond to your question of 28L per Gal either being LPM or LPH? Im making a 10gal 11 plant box and im in disbelief at the need to bubble 576lmp in that. Who would ever buy that many air pumps for a single box? I found 100lpm pumps that weigh 11lbs and cost 119$ but 6 of them? Thats nonsence and im waiting for clarification.
What about all the people who use 8gal, - 18 gal with nothing but a 40lpm pump and grow bushes and bushes? i dont know
Bubbling air into water does not add oxygen into the water. Water is already fully saturated with gases. The bubbling of water circulates the water and breaks the surface tension which allows the exchange of gases.
@RMRio thats funny, cause right when the notice it...i told myself "i bet someone comment about it"...and right when i scroll down...there it was...hahahaha
@twinturbo160 No you will still have to PH your solution, however starting with RO water will allow you to dose your nutrients right off of the back of the bottle with little to no issues with PPM's
@SureToGrowers So your telling me that a 10gal setup needs 567 Liters of air bubbling? Thats 37.8L x 15( min. multiple amount you suggest )? Thats 6 100lpm 119$ pumps for one box? WTF are you saying?
Tell me this is a mis-understanding and when u say "Liters" per Gal, its Liters per Hour and not Lp min.
I can live with a LPH amount of air but practically speaking that requirment of LPM for a 10gal setup is almost impossible.
Ive seen many awsome grows with one 40lpm pump, whats up?
damn when you were drilling the holes through the stirafoam i got chill through my body cause cause of the noise...hahaha
