It could be feasible if the public were educated in health / nutrition. If food companies weren't allowed to use addictive / junk ingredients in their foods, and allowed to market this shit food directly to kids.
There are two main issues:
1. Unhealthy lifestyles, conducive to illness.
2. Healthcare affordability.

You need to check some facts before you go off on your tirade. Since 1976, republican presidents are responsible for 9 trillion dollars of our national debt, while democrat presidents are responsible for 2 trillion of our debt. Clinton also had two years of a surplus, which had not been done by a Republican president since Nixon. Your argument as

Who spends money? For one the US President has little to do with the national budget outside of defense seeing the budget is a legislative issue. During Bill Clinton's Presidency there was a Republican majority in both Houses of Congress. During Bush's first years his tax cuts implemented by the Republican Congress created growth. I find it funny that after the Democrats took back control of Congress in 2007, we are now having these economic problems.

When Bush Jr. doubled our National debt from 4.5 to 9 trillion dollars, he had Republicans controlling both houses of congress. Go back to listening to Rush and Hannity, so you can get your facts wrong again. Bush by the way never vetoed one spending bill while his buddies ran the show. Thank God your party is out of power with no hope of winning for a long time.

When people hear what's actually in the bill and not the lies of the right the majority favor it and I would be more in favor of it if Obama went far enough. As of right now it's been watered down too much by the blue dog dems and republicans. The bill as of right now needs to keep a real public option and stop trying to "compromise" with the right.
