The idea was to see if SNSD's the Boys would create some sort of reaction in the US but unfortunately it didnt. for this reason i think the plan hs been scrapped out for now. SM is being very careful not to repeat the same mistake JYP made with wonder girl who are pretty much a smaller version of SNSD and who failed to crack the US despite help from Jonas Bro
