@313Focus I believe Slip Edit (which now functions a bit differently) was added in FL Studio 8. In version 9 it now functions a bit differently. You should consult the manual to see exactly how it works or stay tuned for a vid on it.

@ismfofismfofable Hi you will have to have the Beat on a separate Mixer Insert Track from the vocals. Check out the MICVOX FL Studio template which simply routes your vocals to Track 1 and the imported Beat to Track 2.

@mdwayne5 Hi, this is where you will need to master the art of mixing which I am no expert. However I would say that it takes time and a little simplicity and patience. I would recommend going to a studio engineer that can teach you how to mix and also where you could make adjustments to your recordings.

what if you want to remove a 'yo' or whatever from the middle not from one of the ends? you cant just move the mouse to that spot or you'll remove everything that comes after it. so how do you extract it out by itself and leave everything else intact?

If you're wanting to create full tracks and ypu're using FL Studio to make beats then we always recommend recording vocals natively in FL Studio. Recording vocals in FL is very intuitive once properly setup and configured. All of the music recorded by Too Cold Records, the music that is played at the end of some of the SampleSimple videos, have all utilized FL Studio's audio recording environment for the full track including the vocals and any samples that may have been recorded from vynil,etc

Hi rainbowsarerad, there really isnt any software or tool that has the capability of removing vocals. You may be able to use pieces of a song by filtering out some part to embellish other sounds.

Yes alfredoelhombre, you can use a USB MIC. If you are unable to use its prepackaged ASIO drivers then you should have no problems using the ASIO4ALL device drivers that are included in the FL Studio 8 installation file.

Hi ronydarippa, we are simply demonstrating a technique, rather feature that can be used on a type of vocal that has been directly recorded inside of FLStudio. Yes you can use a compressor, a vocal effects box, an EQ box and a whole bunch of other stuff, that's up to you. We're not assuming anything else but vocals that have been directly recorded inside of FL Studio. The rack was empty with no effects, compressors or anything. Just an empty FX slot to record simple vocals on a FL Studio beat.
