240p makes it less blocky, you could say its blurry but lines are more smooth compared to 360p

dude the pc is way too loud .. in a home theatre pc you should invest in a passive cooled graphics card or if you also wanna play on it invest in a silent fan like scythe or go with a water cooled system! This is the best solution i think.. but great video would love to watch a movie with that gear ! ... ah yeah and like the others said ... better cam next time =P looks like iphone cam ^^

deluxedookie not true. On linux the virus would have to be for that specific distro, and even then it would be a pain to get it executed. Linux viruses are not simple, and plus linux users have better things to do then write malicious code.

i own a computer anyway, its cheaper to just have good hardware in it and also have a fast computer that is better than the consoles. if a game comes out that others talk aobut for the consoles i can play those and still talk about them and theres pc exclusives.

Not to be so mean, but you should have saved a little bit of money for an HD Video Camera.

Also, cause I do this for a living...make about a 2" hole on the wall behind the TV, and one down below on the wall behind the PC. And just fish the wires (one at a time) through. It will look 1000X better and more professional with that clean look no wires hanging.

you should run the cables behind your wall. its not that hard. just carefully make a hole behind your tv and another below it, where its out of sight, then put a pull rod through it so it comes out of the other end and tape whatever cables you want to one end and pull through. then just buy wallplates to make holes look nicer (even though no one can see them), and youre pretty much all set. your tv is probably on two studs so in between should be empty; perfect for running cables behind.

I agree somewhat, I like linuxmce and have set it up here at home. But for the average user who needs it to function out of the box linuxmce fails big time. You need a computer geek to get it running right. Vista MCE works really nice, especially with a XBOX360 as a media extender AND it works real nice with ORB.

wanna a good advice? Put a intel core 2 Duo processor (E7000 series are good). And forget about vista, it is the worst system; you need Windows XP.

Microsoft starts developing their next operating systems pretty much instantly after the predecessors release. It takes years to develop. I have a dual boot pc with BOTH vista and xp. They are both good operating systems. Unlike other people, I havn't had any problems with vista. I don't know all the confusion people seem to have with it...it works just fine for me. In fact I prefer it. Some people just don't like change I guess.

I can't believe you don't have a HDTV card. That's the best thing about an HTPC. You can record your TV shows in HD. Hauggepauge is a good company or Avermedia. You also need to have an HDMI motherboard so that one wire can cary 1080p/i and sound. Overall good HTPC System I would just add a TV card or two so that you can record multiple shows.
