First off, im pretty sure it's an M16...

M4's dont have the rounded covering over the barrel of the weapon. It's an M16.

no its an M4 because of the length of the weapon, also some M4's do have the standard heat guards, but most of them now have the RIS because of the tactical advantages and lastly M4's have an LE Retractable stock, while M16's have a full stock

One thing...I could barely hear these guys talking. And I KNOW the mic that comes with our cameras is just for decoration.

You should try recording 'wild sound'.

After you shoot your actors' scene, you do-over their dialogue by just having them recite their lines with the camera microphone right next to their faces.

Then you can dub THAT wild sound audio track over the footage you want in post.

I've used it - it works.

no he doesnt, these are effects, gives more realism and adrenaline

Scenery and edit is a bit more than awesome

what you may need is some microphones attached somewhere close to the mouth of the actors so their voice can be heard better :)
