  • You are really good.what level are you. This is a hard song for me.But you play perfect. What brand guzheng do you have?

  • i'm not sure which brand is it..but i got it from Shanghai =)

I've stopped learning at Grade 9.

  • that was realy realy good that sounded great

  • thank you !

  • Your welcome-you should make another video of you playing

  • Someone said your movements were robotic, but if you listen to parts of the rhytm, sometimes during the piece, it actually has a very steady pulse... To me, it seems you were following the music :) In any case, how you move during what you play is your business anyways :P Very nice performance and music!

  • thanks ! =)

  • hi.i think it doesnt matter how long u've been playing (i've played for almost 13 years btw)

and of course,i'm not claiming to be the best but I think i ought to respond to your comment as there are many ways of 遥指 (you'll learn from different guzheng teachers in different regions) and yeap, i have to admit my body movement may not be that obvious. But i guess everyone has room for improvement. =)

hope to hear your performance too,so that I can learn from others.

    Thanks though!

  • dont worry, you did great! ^^

  • iS it?

I don't noe there's different ways of yao zhi..

cos' last time when i used you way of yao zhi and i got lectured by my teacher..

    Thanks too..

  • what the hell is wrong with you? lets see you play better then! EVeryone is good in there own way

  • i second that =)

  • do u noe guzheng cost how miuch>

  • the cheapest may cost you about SGD$600 for the standard beginner ones.

Of course, you can choose to buy a cheaper second hand guzheng if you have just started.

The guzheng we are playing with ranges from $2k to $5k

  • I play guzheng too! im taking classes rite now i've been playing for a year now :D

  • Wow! That is so beautiful.

  • Sounds absolutely beautiful! I live in the UK - do you know if I can get hold of a gu zheng, or even import one from overseas?

  • hi ! maybe you can try UK's chinatown area though I'm not sure if there will be chinese instrument shops around.

Importing from overseas will probably cost you quite abit for shipping ! (because its so heavy and you probably need someone to tune it after transportation)

  • Ok thanks - I'll have a look next time I'm in London!

  • i like it!

  • glad you did =) thanks!

  • thank you !

if you ever travel to Singapore, do drop by our guzheng centre ! we'll love to show you around and perhaps you can try the instrument yourself ! =)

  • hey i've actually started learning, using only middle finger and thumb for now. its pretty awesome, but i think i'm the only guy in the class

  • wow can email me the guzheng scores anot. I really love the song. I've been playing for 4.25yrs le. my yao zhi still not very nice leh. ur hua yin also very soothing. I love it. Who's your guzheng instructor? :)

  • And how long have you played?

  • hi.thanks for ur comment. =)

well..firstly its quite hard to explain over internet but i can ensure u that it takes beginners some months to practice their 遥指 well to make it sound smooth.

i've been playing for the past 10..almost 11 years. =) since young.so yups.it takes time to master the guzheng techniques though its really easy to learn. invest in a good guzheng and teacher =)

    all the best!

  • Very nice, I can't play =( how do you make the muti-string sound? 遥指 I been trying to play but no chance and no teacher ^_-

  • nice nice nice, cool solo, i was actually able to study with this playing in the background :D, what's the song called? can i download it somewhere =]
