  • What is the Xmen Comic at 3:00 with an X on it?

  • totally random question, but what do red labels on CGC mean?? and is it the same value as a blue universal label?

  • @xxedsexxx Yeah, they're the worth the same as a blue label. The red is now a discontinued type of label that was originally only for Modern Age books. If you resubmitted those red labels, they'd come back as blue label.

  • how do i get cgc to grade comic books?

  • @JakeOutLoud Mail them in direct to CGC or hit up your local comic book store for help

  • hi im from Mèxico wow what a amezing collection. one question wath can i do for send mi comic book to cgc from Mèxico???

  • You should do a tutorial on how to ship books securely to cgc, that would be an immense help.

  • Some of the books on the vid are worth slabbing, some are not. I see a lot of wasted money here though. Scary music! The word "misogyny" comes to mind. Did you really say "your woman?" (Sigh) Oh well, I'm sure you'll just delete this comment too.

  • @collectionstash Why would I delete your comments? How could I possibly accuse you of shoving live hamsters up your ass if your comment wasn't there?

  • I especially loved the Gold Key Twilight Zones.

  • Great collection. TERRIBLE music.

  • Well you have some great cgc comic's there just over looking the comment's some freak's have no clue and never will as it should be clear that you are a collector .... That is the point of cgc and is why we have a sevies that has a 10 year's backing with over 100+ dealer's with over 20,000+ member's... Also nothing wrong with making a buck that's just part of the business any business any collection or item you my have ..... either way again nice collection

  • cgc means nothing you guys could grade comics yourselves, make a little colorful print, laminate at the top and done. The price to actually have them graded is outrageous, and comics go up like 2.00 every ten years. No offense intended to you buddy, nice comics, these are just some guys trying to make a buck.

  • @mukkSkillz Dude, go vent to an employee of CGC if you feel that strongly about it. You're not going to convert anyone here

  • @mukkSkillz

You sir, have no clue what you are talking about.

Brain your nuts on the tip of a loaded shotgun and manually castrate yourself, please.

  • @mukkSkillz - i totally disagree. i try to buy only cgc or pgx books; tired of getting ripped off by sellers over grading and buyers undergrading...

  • @mukkSkillz Doyou you think CGC is legit? Is their grading consistent? I'm a newbie with many HIGH grade Silver & Bronze Age Marvel comic books. I don't want to waste my $ is CGC is a scam. Thanks in advance for replying!

  • @mukkSkillz It probably doesn't matter either way to him, they look great in their CGC cases and i'm sure he doesn't intend to sell them anytime soon, if he's going to all the trouble of making a display.

With all of the "clean up" tricks people try to use on old comic books (to sell them), it's good to know there's an independent company that grades comics throughly. It would of been nice to have 50 some odd years ago, just so we would know people didn't try to razor-blade the edges off lol.

  • NICE!!!

  • thanks for posting how you display books, I'm looking for new ideas on display.

  • @DocWyoming This was shot at my old house. Check out my newer videos to see how I have them set up at my new house. I'll also be posting a new video when I get my next batch back from the CGC

  • @DJdeadlyDALEK excellent, taking a look now...

  • Comics are meant to be read!

  • @Mercury418 Obviously. I have these high grade issues because I've already read their more "beat up" versions, but ya mighta known that if you had read all the comments, eh?

  • scars on Broadway love the song good collection well awesome collection

  • Very Nice Collection! Was that the First Appearance of the Marauders at time index 2:57?

  • Yeah, man. I want to get their cameo appearance in #210 but everytime one pops up on Ebay, I get outbid on it. Ditto with #212 and #213

  • I c sorry to hear that... By any chance do you have a Incredible Hulk 180 or 181 and if you do are you willing to sell it?

  • Only unslabbed versions of those books and LOL! No, man I wouldn't sell them. I'd recommend finding a nice copy on Ebay where someone is listing it as "Buy It Now or Best Offer" and throw them an offer. A lot of people will take 50% of their asking price.

  • cool thanks for the tip =)

  • No problem.

  • Awesome collection!

  • Thanks for the advice...

What I am going to consider is..sending them my most valuable issues...I think I have around 50 of em(FF 48, X-Men 94 etc)

    That way I still feel its an investment..and not a complete waste of money(when slabbing a 5$ worth X-Men 178 for 25$)

IF, I will be visting the US..I will definetely bring comics with me to grade(can it be done at a convention??)

    What's also interesting :

Can anybody order from Diamond? What are the requirements?

  • Yeah, you can get them done at a convention, but the last one up here was if you dropped them off on Friday, you could pick them back up on Sunday, so don't go on the last day, eh? I'm not sure about Diamond, but check their web page...

  • Great Video..very interesting collection..

How do you obtain a comic that is graded higher then 9.4..which is not already slabbed by CGC or PGX? As I live in Europe, I guess that the comics sold at our local store are only 9.4 or less due to overseas transport etc..

Also, do you think its a good idea to cgc-grade my collection of uncanny x-men 94-266 or The first run of the Teen Titans for instance? They are all between 8,8 and 9,4..I guess..thx

  • I'd definately get the valuable books in your Uncanny run done (I have 95 in 9.4), but I wouldn't do the entire collection just because of the sheer cost unless you're planning on doing them slowly over time...as for geting yourself unslabbed copies of books higher then 9.4 you could always order multiple copies of whatever you're after from Diamond (the distributor) and that way it's prety safe to say at least one will come in at 9.8 and maybe even higher, eh? You never know, though...

  • Whats the total cost of putting up the wall?

    Materials only, not the books

Also did your wife and kids HELP pick out the music for the video as well?

  • My wife actually picked out this song - she loves how it fits in perfectly. My kids aren't allowed to listen to Scars on Broadway or anything else I generally like, really. This wall cost me about $80 Canadian from Home Depot and it's easy to put up. There's a douchebag on here who has his comics hanging on his wall with litle tiny clips in each corner and he wants MONEY from you before he'll send you his instructions on how to build HIS wall. Don't send him any money. Create one yourself.

  • thanks for the reply and info.

    your wife sounds kewl !!!

I did see the other site with the hooks I like your idea better, with your system u can probably put non-slabbed books on them as well.

The hooks look like they might scratch the slabs!!!

  • i see the secret wars in there. i was lucky and the place i went to have every single one of the 12 or 13 part (i forget how many) series right next to each other so of course i got them all. its was all worth it for a near mint number 8!

  • Yeah anything under 9.8 in that run isn't gonna be worth a hell of alot...great stories, though! I just wanted all of the McFarlane covers and I finished that off last month or the month before.

  • You mean when I start loading the cabinet back up in this video (ASM #24 and #5) or the one's on the wall (McFarlane series)?? The two cabinet issues have a combined value of about $600 and the other two on the wall will go for around $40 a piece in 9.8 on Ebay. My McFarlane Spidey's were both cheap because I bought them years ago, but they haven't gone up that much since. The only really valuable issue in McFarlane Spidey's is the Platinum Edition of #1 that goes for $1000 in 9.8

  • dude u need a light bulb...

  • ...a brighter one for shooting video's sure, but I wouldn't want a really bright one down there all the time because your comics can sustain serious light damage, especially from direct sunlight, eh?

  • even if they are protected from that expensive comic book case called CGC.... just wondering... and yeah... your right there..... just for the shooting..

  • Way cool, I wanted to do that myself in my basement to show case my graded Iron Fist comics, thanks for the instructional!

  • great collection but dont get it cgd. You can never need them again. Just get simple cases

  • A lot of the stuff you see, I own readers copies of or I have the graphic novels, so I can read them again and again. With CGC, you have high grade stuff that will never become a lower grade because you've decided to read it again while eating french fries and you accidently got ketchup all over your Fantastic Four #12! DOH!

  • Nice set up...but don,t waste your time or money on cgc......their a scam....and poor graders at best.....We,ve delt in comics for over 20 years.and anybody who knows comics, know cgc are a joke....put your books in a mylar or mylite with an acid free board....they look nicer and hold their value......

  • Again, you're looking at CGC video's when you hate them...post another comment on my video's and I'll just delete it, buddy. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but when you say the same thing over and over, it gets repetitive, eh?

  • @bigfnevil Can you please ellaborate on why you think CGC is a joke? How do you know they are "poor" graders? I'm a newbie with many HIGH grade Silver & Bronze Age Marvel comic books. I don't want to waste my $ is CGC is a scam. Thanks in advance for replying!

  • nice collection man what other wolverine

    books you got?

  • I think all of the Wolverine's I have were up in this vid...there's only 30 or 40 that don't have a home at the moment.

  • kool collection but I hope your kids don't watch this and listen to the lyrics saying " suck on my cock" lolol

  • No, they aren't allowed anywhere near my CD collection.

  • Hey you have a great collection of comic books. Check out my vid that I just added. Its some of my ungraded comics. Tell me what you think about them. AWESOME COLLECTION!

  • Question for ya. What was the grade on the Spidey 300? Curious, cause I couldn't really tell in the video. 5/5

  • It's only a 9.0 :(

But at least it's one of the ones I actually sent off to CGC myself. The vast majority of my collection was purchased off of Ebay.

  • Hey you have a great collection of comic books. Check out my vid that I just added. Its some of my ungraded comics. Tell me what you think about them. AWESOME COLLECTION!

  • wow, nice display. reminds me of the wall o' comics at the comic shops back when I was younger.

  • That would probably be my biggest influence when it came to how I set up my comics. I remember being about five when I first went into a comic book store...good times.

  • Do you have the amazing spiderman issue 375

    30th anniversary

spidey vs venom: The final confrontation!

  • LOL No, buddy. It's a nice issue, though but far from the "final" confrontation. You know my facebook profile pic? That's from Amazing Spider-man #569

  • Took me thirty years.

  • i wish i had enough room to do that.... maybe one day.
