@ACruelPicture i did not find it gripping at all but I do agree it makes no bloody sense at all. This is what happens when bad movies happen to good actors... like George Clooney's Batman and Robin... he'd be first to agree that that movie was a piece of crap.

@ArtsAlign when movies go straight to video it's because everybody hated it. with good reason... I can't believe I sat through the whole thing... I'm obviously a masochist. it was awful... but then I thought Excess Baggage was better than it got credit for and it seemed to go straight to video.

I saw this film today, while snowing too much here, not normal. It was not the right film to see... Anguishing. But I loved it, I must confess. Thrilling and scary and beautiful.

The thing with the flying Ugandians are such a beatiful allegori. But then again the film made by one of the best Danish directors and the script written by himself and his teacher at filmschool.

I was shocked how bad this film was. Esp. considering the major stars. The plot consists of nothing. I kept watching hoping the story was going somewhere. The acting is terrible. Claire Danes' performance is probably the best out of the main stars. The Polish accents sound terrible. Joaquin Phoenix's acting is esp. bad. I kept wondering if the dialogue and acting was intentionally meant to be bad in an artistic sort of way. I don't think so.

I was just watching My So called Life, and this role is really different. I actually watched this film like a year ago and I came back to this Claire Danes is absolutely lovely in this film.

Masterpiece- after "Festen" Vinterberg just became my god ;-D , and "All for love" despite the fact that is not as genius as "Festen" is great movie, which tells us how much we need other people- it's so fucking simple but in modern world we too often forgot about that...but I have one problem with that movie- Elena Marchevski is from Poland, I am from Poland too, and I can say certainly, that Elena isn't polish name, and I have never met polish girl named Elena ;-D

It's "una furtiva lagrima" from Donizetti's opera L'elisir d'amore, and it's a tenor aria. But this is probably Isabel Cooper, yes. But I prefer the tenor version, Pavarotti for enstence..Good look with finding it.
