  • @bluejazzcat I have some Jazz instruction Video's on my Profile also on Blues, you can find them on my profile in a folder if you're interested. Soon on my WebSite I'll also be offering in depth Jazz-concept lessons on improvisation but those will have to be paid for, greetings Vic.

  • another one of our lead off tunes of the night

pass the wine & cheese please

I like the bridge - great individualism

Frankley I like your version better - but of course I have to stick to my chart when playing out.... Cheers

  • Thanks Victor, Jobim is one of the best composers I know in terms of great melody progressions, the quality is they sound deceivingly simple (like this one) but when analyzed very creative solutions, thanks again,Vic.

  • great job!

  • @sampogi0518 thanks,my favorite Jobim composition,all the best,Vic.

  • JUST BY ACCIDENT I found one of the songs, for which you gave me permission to sing along. -

If you worry now about the onset of "senile dementia", be at ease: You are not the only one! Wolf in Kyoto/Japan

  • Love your improvisations! Watch out! I might sing with this ..;-)

    Wolf in Kyoto

  • Be my guest my friend, once it's in the right key, lol,Vic.

  • One word。。。 Beautiful!

  • Thanks Upsidedown... glad you enjoyed,Vic.

  • A much underated tune from one of the worlds' great composers and played by a real man with real feeling. O Dindi! Meu Deus. Obrigado Amigo.

  • Thanks 764.. yes I agree with you, and if you look at this progression it's simply magnificently put together by maestro Jobim, I,ve learned learned so much by playing and analyzing his compositions. It's such a sensitive song with a touch of melancholy, love it,greetings Vic.

  • Super!

  • my friend,

first of all allow me to tell you that I really enjoyed your music.

I think you cought the true meaning of Tom Jobim style: tender, soft, warm and only for sensitives souls, like us.

    ONE QUESTION:

are you the actor who interpreted the role of capitain police station in the 70's and 80's in the TV series called "CHIPS" ????????

    you look like him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you, and thanks a lot for your gentle notes,

    AndreA from Roma - Italy

  • Thanks so much Andrea, yes indeed I love Jobim,it's like you mention for people who know how to appreciate love, kindness and emotions in life, you'll find all these qualities in this Music, and like I said before I've never heard a bad composition from Jobim. I'm sorry I'm not an actor(I've been asked that question before) I'm a musician, performing and having my own Music-school, I also do arranging work for others. Thanks for your true attention, hug Victor.

  • my friend,

i will let you know when i'll be back in the us...so that I could join some guitar lessons from you, it sounds very good.

meanwhile i wish you happy new year, and a happy new president :-)

    A.

  • Hi Andrea,I'm not living in the U.S. but in Holland. And as for the president, to be honest I don't have confidence in whatever president once the general mentality of all those pocket-fillers doesn't change, they should start a band: The Greed brothers, greetings Vic.

  • hahahhahahhahahahha

well Vic, I agree with you! I am going to get a degree in history and as deep I study as far my opinins goes.

I wonder live for other 250 years just to see what the future will bring to humankind...what i see now is not properly what I was dreaming when I was 25... (now I am 37) Dumas said: do not be sad if the world is not like you want it, beacause you found him in this way when you was born, and you'll leave it in the same way when you'll pass away :-)

    holy words!!!!

  • Indeed holy words, I sit back in my chair and laugh my cheeks sore man, about certain political decisions that are made, even a child of 3 would make better decisions, only they're not president. A total invasion costing millions a day and still Bin Laden is enjoying himself with all his 20 virgins, oops now they're not virgin anymore, LOL, have no illusions bout this world Amigo, just think quietly, greets Vic.

  • hy "cop" how are you?

well...I recorded my version of "DINDI" and i wonder know if you agree to allow me to use my version as "answer" to your version. what do you think abou it?

maybe you've already recived my invitation, let me know, okay?

and if you find 5 minutes jump into my space...it will be a great pleasure recieving your comments to mine performances.

    AndreA

  • Great, Victor! Warm and heartful, great phrasing, as allways. But why the hell did it have only 3*** so far??? That would mean "worth watching", not more. But on the other hand, it's true. After all it is worth LISTENING!!!

  • Ha,ha good sense of humor, close your eyes and the notes may take you to a special destination, close your ears and you're out of luck then your looking at a shallow Picture. Your Statement is so very true, still I'm stuck with those 3 stars, greetings Vic.
