  • Cool! I love smoking weed so i hope all you growers keep growing it cos if i cant find any nice bud i get realy pissed off! Hahahaaa peace! Good luck!

  • Another way to not get caught...... Don't do it to begin with.

  • No, Barry... FLIR, pronounced FLIR, is not a radar.

  • I own a FLIR scope. The newer ones have MUCH better resolution than the old ones shown in the video. Still good information. Although I cringe every time he says "FLUHR".

  • I suppose educating criminals is a good thing but perhaps the education they should get is that doing crime is stupid..

  • @DanFrederiksen only a blind retard would believe that growing a plant is a crime

  • @hamsterman32 you mean like opium? if you weren't a pothead you would be able to think more clearly

  • @DanFrederiksen well synthetic opium is completely legal if you wanna go get a script from your doctor for oxy, the govt has no problem selling drugs to its people it just cant make any money off of plants because anyone can grow them. just because something has a label and a bar code doesn't mean its not a drug, just saying

  • @hamsterman32 marijuana is also legal if prescribed and oxycontin is also extremely illegal if not. just sayin..

  • @DanFrederiksen cannabis is not legal on a total total level and I doubt that it will ever be in the US. there will always be regulations and restrictions placed upon Gods Gift

  • @hamsterman32 it's not God's gift you pothead. a mind is God's gift. not wasting that mind

  • @DanFrederiksen i use cannabis as a tool to expand my mind. this is the way I chose to live my life and I harm noone with my decision, go troll on some other video with the other non believers who are too pussy to try for themselves the most helpful plant on Earth

  • @hamsterman32 yeah and Nick Nolte uses alcohol to focus his career.

pot doesn't expand the mind nitwit, it turns it off. pothead is not exactly synonymous with genius.

  • @DanFrederiksen ha! what do you know about bud? I'll light up a fat bowl for you faggot

  • @DanFrederiksen in addition you have to do more than just grow opium to get black tar heroin, not that I have experience, but cannabis is the greatest enemy of big business because it is a fucking plant and it is grown like all of your medicine should be

  • Windows aren't black because they're cold; infra red rays can't travel through glass.

  • Excessive heat? I own reptiles, all of which need special heat to reach proper temperature, some also need uvb light in order to bask. I would laugh if someone thought my house was full of drugs/we were stealing energy because of my animals! Oh well, that would be an interesting story for them to tell.

  • deffo added to Favourites, just what every home grower wanted to hear thanks so much........... i think i love you.....

  • Does FLIR only apply to night time? Or does it also apply during the day with all the heat from the streets and sunlight? Seems like according to the video it doesn't matter,>> anybody?

  • What about daytime

  • Excellent explanation, very clear, well done

  • corruption runs rampant in america! people of america Thomas jefferson said "if the government fears the people the theres liberty but if the people fear the government there is tyranny! please in August there will be a nationwide protest against corruption if you cherish your rights and want to take our country back then seek out your nearest protest at a courthouse near you!

  • entergy left a phone msg. they were going to use flir on my house. it was for my own benefit. checking for heat loss or something. i may try to change elec co.

  • Grow underground. Go underground.

The power company will check their heat data collected against their electric/power records before giving flir camera data from thermal cameras on helicopters to the cops.

The real thing those choppers are looking for is ppl stealing electricity, they dont care about your crops. They are the loss prevention, asset protection arm of the power company...

THEY JUST USE THE COPS, the police are tools. Profits... See the big picture now??

  • Or you could, you know, not break the law in the first place

  • Okay why is he explaining us, in detail, how and why so, you should grow illegal drugs?

  • @Drawnsbyme its a leaf not a drug

  • so is this guy retarded....or what?

  • so the point with this video is to tell people how to grow drugs without being busted?

  • if you notice he is using a fishing rod as a pointer stick lol

  • If i unleash my fury will i get white too?

  • U can beat FLIR extremely easy: grow daddy grow dot com.

  • "DO NOT !!!!!!! send the heat down the sewer system as suggested by a commenter here...... Your sewer system is vented THROUGH YOUR ROOF and the heat will travel up the vents,,, not down the drain,,,, that is a sure way to get BUSTED. and not smart as suggested it was...

  • Awesome video. I wish there were more people out there informing us on how to fight illegal government surveillance. I know, this is specifically about growing weed, but I live in a house with shitty circulation, and most of the heat ends up in my room. I can't stand cold, so that set up is convenient for me, but it does make this side of the house VERY hot (high 70s, low 80s, maybe high 80s sometimes). Anyway, my point is, could I get falsely raided because of my heater usage?

  • Comment removed

  • you cant defend that mainly because its visible, but growing weed all you need is to be smart if you want to have no heat coming out of your house put in a second bathroom and send the heat down the sewer system.or go for a nice holiday into a park somewhere with water supply.everyones so keen on hydro but nothing beats a well grown outdoor strain hydro just grows quicker.last year was sweet, sticky with a nice bite at the end.

im lying on the net cause it makes me feel good.excuses excuses

  • i have seen a fluoro setup before (not in bloom) but the person who owned it wouldnt of built it for nothing.

you could probably buy 20 fluoro lights for $20 at the next swap meet and can be hooked up to extension chords for quick removal/replacement at times of need.

but the best info for anyone is before you do anything that is not approved of by the gov(crime)sit down relax and think about how stupid the crime is,pointless crime is hard to defend.say you punch an old woman and steal her bag

  • can it pick up heat if you use instalation film? the shinny kind

  • Is he using a fishing pole as a pointer? lol

  • ooooo!! )))) it's here monotest.ru

  • lol. In case all the stoners out there aren't paranoid enough as it is...

  • Pumping heat out of a dryer vent is bad advice because dryer vents are often used as proof of the presence of a grow room. I personally know someone who had their house raided because they had heat coming from their chimney during the winter. They didn't have a grow room and the heat that was picked up was coming from their furnace. The police used a confirmed purchase from a garden store, heat from the chimney, window blinds, and a 3 way lamp that came on in stages to obtain the warrant.

  • One of the illegal techniques that the police use when they do their thermal imaging and get nothing is to omit the negative result of their thermal imaging in the warrant request. They then take what ever evidence or the lack there of to a federal magistrate. There are a significant number of magistrates who will issue warrants without probable cause. The idea is to make the bust and then freeze the victims assets so they can't hire a lawyer to challenge the bad warrant.

  • I think the windows are black cause they let most of the heat pass through but that's just my guess.

  • "Fluorescent lights use very little electricity & they generate almost zero heat, so using these type of lights ensures, no heeat, no floural imaging"..Well thats me sorted

  • An IR camera sees not only emission of heat by the object but also reflections from other sources.Car window are very low emissivity and the reason why they are black is that they are reflecting the cold surroundings in the area. As you would notice in 2:55 the side windows of the car are are not the same color as at the back. These are some of the fit fall that Thermography have, that is why we have Infrared Certification Training to prevent these misunderstanding.

  • Everyone here saying he looks like a criminal and sounds like a criminal and bad bad bad you sir!! Do you have an idea how many COPS this guy has proved were dirty and breaking laws, stealing money from crime scenes, busts, illegal search warrants, you name it.

  • @squillyb7718 yeah and you said i do my laundry in one ONE day and it takes 10 hours. There is a huge difference between ONE day 10 hours of heat coming out and everyday SEVEN DAYS between 11am-11pm on the clock heat coming out, I dont understand where u are coming from you preach the he's trying to help people, SO AM I. I'm saying if you are where it's illegal hooking your exhaust to a dryer out is not fool proof. I have enough laundry to go 24/7 but not a legitimate excuse.

  • @willeng84 I agree with you its not the best way bro, however they need to prove to a judge that the heat coming out of there is NOT from laundry to get the warrant. They will have a much easier time if you vent some where "un natural" for heat to be escaping the home.

  • alchol and tobacco are legal taxable death commodities l dare say that mans law changes from state to state geoographically and can be hypocritical

  • @palamander12 GROW DRUGS?? you cant be serious! How many states have recently passed medicinal marijuana laws?? 17 states? wake up, your the minority now. He is helping growers not get busted because not every state has medicinal laws and patients need meds, law or no law.

You really think marijuana and heroine are the same "class" of narcotic as the current federal law states? schedule 1 narcotic, do some research

  • lol its like a fuckin AC130

  • no one runs a dryer on a timer or for hours and hours everyday, dryer vents are not the safest route.

  • @willeng84 really? my dryer has a timer right on it, and I usually do all my laundry at once, on one day, takes about 10 hrs.

  • Its pronouced FL-IR (like EAR), not flur. I dont understand why so many people mess that up, including this guy who is suppose to be explaining it

  • @aligerous please ellaborate then you idiot?

  • Come on now, xsploit...name calling? Look below for my post on where I ellaborated. How is it I rate "idiot" status?

  • so are you using a fishing rod as a pointer???

  • @canadianallthewayeh Heh. Hey, it works just as well as any other kind of pointer. It does in fact point.

  • Cool Ill just vent out under a floodlight!

  • oh and you know all about flir?

this guys specialty was in making drug busts.... he knows his shit!!!

  • You could say that. As part of my job, I use the FLIR 8500XR with laser designator and have recieved the best training in the world in its use. By courtroom standards, they say that makes me an "expert." If Barry was such the expert, he would realize the acronym "FLIR" stands for "Forward Looking InfraRed." There is nothing in there about radar. If he doesn't have a grasp on that, he's got no business teaching others about it. But then again, this is YouTube.

  • @aligerous,

Aligerous is correct. The reason I made that mistake is because the police taught me it was Forward Looking Infrared Radar. I got the name wrong but the rest of the material is accurate. Sorry for the mistake.

    Barry

  • DO they walk around neighborhood with dogs sniffing around from the sidewalk?

  • His tips are very good the guy spent 9 years as a DEA narcotics enforcer he knows what he's talking about man.

showing you were the narcotic dogs have trouble tracing, how to throw them of I say listen to him. You don't have to agree 100% with him, but 9 years as a DEA means experience.

  • love the fishing rod pointer!

  • shoot son are you an expert or what why do they make this stuff ?to detect pot growers? why the heck are they allowed to have these suckers they could not be cheap

  • they are not. you can easily drop a few grand on just a hand held unit. cops have been using them for a long time, mainly if something is going down like a car chase or maybe a raid, the flir helps make sure the suspects dont get away. they also due surveillance though for "domestic marijuana eradication" where they will just fly all over the place checking for grows

  • go look at the kopbusters trailer he had two small plants (not even pot) under one light they illegally broke into his house to search they dont care they are after any and everyone

  • Give 3 GOOD reasons why dealers should be arrested. and I don't want to hear any of your bullshit you got from your D.A.R.E. classes.

  • Um I just have one, Its against the Law... The Laws set forth by the country you live in and applied by the officials you elect. If you dont like the Law change it by voting in some one who thinks its ok. Oh and good luck cause I dont think that will happen any time soon, cause politicians get paid by taxes and you cant tax Pot because its to easy to grow on your own unlike Tobacco.

  • They weren't elected by me, they were elected because they had the most money in their campaigns and people don't listen to both sides of an issue.

So the "law" is not "right" it is just popular. And the marijuana laws are becoming less popular.

  • @Noahthebeast09

    Well said!!!!

    Barry

  • Thank you Mr. Cooper. How is your campaign down in Texas going?

  • @lipinskirl

    spot on.

  • ok, so how can one hide from flir?

  • ice bath.. its the only way dude

  • You cant. FLIR detects to 1/1000 th of a degree change, so Ice bath wont work. You need something that wont transfer heat. An Ice bath will only cool you down for a few minutes and you will still be able to be seen unless you are as cold as the ice and then you would be dead.

  • Also notice in Barrys KOP BUST with the Christmas trees, notice Barry speculated a FLIR was used after getting the tip. Did Barry vent heat outside for the FLIR, or did they see heat coming off the outside walls of his apartment? It was only a 400watt HPS....

  • I have several big questions that wern't addressed. Can FLIR see a unique heat emitted by pot plants, making it easy to distinguish pot plants from say... tomato plants. Also I know venting heat to my crawl space would heat it up. Would it be dangerous because even though flir can't see through my basement- they can see heat emitted off the outside of my house.

  • Yes and no depending on the camera, every plant puts out a different temperature. Advanced FLIR cameras can tell you the temp down to 1/1000 th of a degree. Pot has a unique temp when you break it down to less than 1/100th of a degree you can see if a plant is in that range. But the heat read when looking at your house is not from the plant its from the grow operation. P.S Dont grow Pot its illegal!

  • great work Barry.

let's legalize this natural plant already

  • move to colorado and get a sun roof. prob solved

  • sun is best, for sure

  • its just like COD 4 !!

  • Barry continue staying positive & doing the work of the light. I HATE FLURO & LED though! Please elaborate on safe ways to HID.

  • If white is the hottest, how come the tree trunks are bright white?

  • because they are alive to....

  • Trees are filled with water, water retains heat better than air.

  • I actually own a flir and it is fun to play around with. You are able to detect game animals at night. I also like how bary is using a fishing pole as a pointer in the video. He is definitely a fellow Texan.....

  • lol i noticed the fishing pole, made me laugh

  • Its like the Predator... except instead of hunting people he's uh... taking a crap..

  • what about the myth that FLIR wont work if looking down on pine trees

  • Advice taken.

  • You didn't see me. I was not here.

  • can i get the advice too plz

  • 1. it did look like they were doing a load of clothes but was a growhouse....

    2. Why not put a light on your heat vent to disguise as an outdoor porch light?

    Marijuana is good MMm-Kay

  • Everyone should own a copy of Never Get Busted Again Vol 1 & 2. The information in the vids is priceless and could save you thousands

  • You forgot to mention carbon filters on exhausts to eliminate odor.

  • is he using a fishing pole?

  • he talkes like he's talking to a little kid

  • he had to make this understandable to texans too

  • I had no clue t5 fluorescent could be used I see a few videos on here that people are using 45watt fluorescents and I just thought to myself yeah right they'll die but nope I thought wrong. keep up the good work Barry. one love

  • Man Barry, Thank you so much for this video. Im so relaxed now that I know what that thing can see and cant see.

  • i love smoking pot :D

  • Comment removed

  • misleading

  • ????im a 27 yr engineer on both systems. flir is thermal imaging. radar is radio waves. so to confuse the learners

  • so is that one the one they use at the bridge (border)?? is know that theuse plumbing tape with lead does it really work>??

  • hes my hero

  • Superb, very educational.

  • && those clones didnt look to good

  • thank you for the vid

  • This guy fucking rocks !!!!

  • That's why it good to have a basement to grow weed.

  • i love you barry no homo.

  • now hes someone u can look up to

  • Dryer vent dosen't sound like a bad idea

  • Huh, looks like I'll be getting busted for having an air conditioning unit...

  • lol dryer vent never thought about that

  • RADAR?

  • Ya I know RADAR is not involved, Its Forward Looking InferRed. Red being the "R"

  • haha love the fishing pole GREAT VIDEO TY!!!

  • fishing pole pointer! Sweet

  • You're one of my new heroes.

  • Barry, I heard you on Alex's show today. One, you have been so informative. Two, I adore the fishing rod. Have you considered fly-casting?

  • barry is the man ;]

  • this is a basket ball goal ur seeing

    lol barry ur awsome

    its hoop not goal

    but ur hella tight

  • Pause it at 4:23. The rectangular shaped object to the left of the pole is a telephone splice case. Telephone lines/cables barely generate any heat at all. I'm wondering why the splice box is showing up as hot as the transformer.

  • cops can't use that shit without a warrant in the usa look it up

  • Kops do a lot of things that they aren't supposed to do. Even if they couldn't technically use it in court, they could use it to figure out you were growing and then manufacture some kind of evidence in order to get a search warrant. From that point they could get a shady "informant" like that fake one they used in Atlanta to break in and kill a 93 year old woman or an anonymous letter like the one in Barry's Kopbusters video. Kops can find ways around the constitution.

  • yes thats true im just putting it out there

  • cops can't legally do lots of things, but they do it all the time anyway- that's his point. 1st, they scan your home, then they watch and wait for an excuse for a judge to sign a warrant.

  • They sure as hell can. It's just an issue of whether it can be admitted as evidence.

  • yea its can't be without a warent

  • i LOVE the fishing pole pointer starting @ 1:22 !

  • i love u

  • GReat stuff!!! i want to see alot more like this!!! :) Tank you

  • Good man, my friend, good man.

  • I like what your doing man, keep it up!

  • Show what a 2000 watt growroom looks like.

  • That was excellent Barry. I've always wondered exactly what a FLIR can detect, & had no knowledge as to their capabilities. Now I do, thanks to you.

I have another question (that you might possibly entertain for another video sometime). I understand that DHS is about to put a satellite surveillance system online sometime soon for domestic law enforcement use (probably abuse). What do you know about this system? Does it also use FLIR technology? What about imaging and resolution capabilities?

  • Wow, thats kind of scary considering DHS has more power than the police and they Dont need a warrant to enter someones home.

  • Apparently, neither do the police since the inception of the USA Patriot Act ("sneak & peek" searches). It's totally un-Constitutional & in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment.

The Congress keeps (knowingly) passing un-Constitutional legislation over & over again. The Constitution - as the law that governs the government - has been abandoned by the very people that are sworn to uphold & defend it. It's not just treason, it's just plain treacherous.

    Visit

  • I'm pretty sure that FLIR won't work from a satellite. Remember, FLIR only detects heat. Remember the windows on the cars? It only saw the windows themselves, not what was behind them. It "sees" heat, not light.

That was just a window. A FLIR camera in space would just look at the heat in the atmosphere, because the atmosphere is really thick if you're looking at it from space. It wouldn't be able to "see" anything below that.

It's FLIR cameras on helis you gotta worry about.

  • So then, I guess that it's just a question of range then. When I was first thinking about it, I thought that they might be able to use a satellite telescope to first magnify the image, and then take the magnified image and apply an Infra-red detector (or other similar technology) to it. But then, that's just my imagination at work. That's why I asked Barry. I thought he just might know about the capabilities via satellite.

  • Heh, it's cool. Understanding "seeing" with something besides light is not something that it's easy to wrap your mind around because you're used to seeing with your eyes, and the concept of seeing something that you can only feel normally is kinda weird.

Also, I am slightly high right now.

  • yeah thats interesting because if you could see the heat of the person driving the car that would mean that a flir would pickup the heat of the lamp in the house!! and if they could pin point HID lamps which give out alot of heat that would mean we would all be busted!!! so its good to know that flir cant pickup the heat of the actual lamp!!! anyways im in the 400w spectrum personal use and i dont live in the usa so suck me ballies coppers!!!!

  • awesome video, i like how your pointer is actually a fishing rod.

  • Florescents, floros, or CFLs (compact florescent light) are very good for growing and the heat is neglible. i have a 125w light and i've touched the bulb a few times without problems. they run pretty cool. I actually want to get two more 200w ones and then i'll be complete.

but if you wanna go small, definitely go to home depot for the regular house light versions, coiled bulbs. they work well too.

the Tx versions Barry's talking about are the long tubes. x defines the size of the tube.

  • nah you wouldnt find flir on a sony handycam. definitely more advanced

  • This dude's so dope! Very interesting post. I've always wondered what those things looked like. I agree with sockpuppet, florescent lights do work well. Do some research on the subject. There are compact florescent bulbs that cost around 8 dollars that work really well. In turn you can get numerous lights and have them at all different angles. As I said, do research to find the correct spectrum of light for your needs.

  • Some of the best sinsemilla I've ever seen was grown under florescent lights, you just have to keep them closer to the plants (within 1 foot) and be religious about use of reflective material.
