can anyone share me how to install ubuntu 8.04 on my aspire one??
i have no idea abt the installation, so if you guys could give me an idea abt that would be really great...
also i have question abt the drivers, does it install all the drivers automatically or do we need to install it from separtely..if it is where do i get ubuntu drivers for ths laptop??
your reply would be really appreciated and really thanks.!!
I've been trying to just use ubuntu liveusb with the read write ability so i dont have to install it. however, i keep getting an error that i have no more space, which is impossible because my usb is 8gb and the ubuntu is only 700mb. i know i have at least 6 gigs ready as the /home directory but its not letting me use it. got any ideas?
I don't know... probably it means the space on your ramdisk which is 512 mb. You should controll how your filesystem is organized in /etc/fstab or check the partition table of the pendrive through pmagic.
How are you finding this laptop, i have just ordered my one from amazon.......I also hope to run Ubuntu on it and the Ubuntu netbook OS later this year

Hi men, where can I download such USB?
ChaosAngel667 3 years ago
you can use the livecd of ubuntu, start it then connect to internet and type in the terminal: sudo apt-get install liveusb.
this package will help you in creating a liveusb of ubuntu
