How radically different from so many other SL videos! Beautiful in the extreme. This is like a man who could break the guitar's neck with his bare hands, making love to it instead.

@arsguitarrica, what I'm trying to say is, the staggering majority of SL videos on YouTube display his otherworldly speed and technique (in my opinion unmatched by any other "known" guitarist and made even more astonishing by his taste). But I love this video in particular because it captures Shawn deliberately playing slowly and drenching every note with nuance and feeling. I don't think there's one sweep in this short piece of magic, but plenty of chills.

It's the subtle note shaping he does. I have yet to see someone with more dynamic control, Govan comes to mind as approaching Lane's level in that regard, but that's it really. The most crushing part of this song are the harmonics IMO. 1:20 is like the single saddest note change I have EVER heard! EVER!!!
