  • 4:10, PLEASE PLEASE I GIVE UP hahaha

  • Oh my gosh, those are just the most insane techniques ever!

  • Is this video available on your website or facebook?

  • Watched the first two minutes then stopped because this is so stupid. During the "jiu jitsu" preparation time for grasping, a REAL opponent could easily have knocked you out with their free arm or leg whilst they were trying to do that stupid manoeuvre.

  • @Cyrus150 god you're a retard.

  • guys lets make this video have a 1,000,000 views or else

  • @mmasuperstar7 Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately this video is now blocked in most countries so it will be a while before we get to 1,000,000

  • @ggvideo forgive my cluelessness but why is it blockd? Violence?

  • @TimestheTruth Song is copyrighted. They approved use for a few years but are now blocking it.

  • @ggvideo the nerve!

  • @ggvideo why

  • am currently training in tae kwon do and grappling at doggpound mma

but john the only thing that i have to say is WTF that was awesomeeeeeee

  • this is dirrrrty

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHaaaaaaaaaaaa

    jiu-jitsu all the way.

To all the people out there this does work... extremely well.

  • i just got a broken arm form watching that

  • brazilian jiu jitsu is 10 times better

  • @wetter820 japanese jiu jitsu is zen, it's about minimizing combat into its simplest components. This way most people can be trained to do it very effectively, which is great for large armies. Brazilian jiu jitsu relies heavily on individual strength/speed, which means that it's much faster and probably more deadly, but not everyone can perform like that, which is not efficient in terms of tactics. Jiu Jitsu is about the art, Brazilian is about the combat.

  • 2:12 that was just mean!

  • wow iv been taking ju jitsu for 4 years im sooo far away from this guy

  • shiiiit my sensei only go to 2nd degree

  • @CPU119 no. LOL. they dont count as fighting even cuz they just teleport everywhere throw a few punches and talk o.o

  • I like Jiu Jitsu

  • this guy is a beast!!!! i wanna learn how to do this!

  • @BlueRaptor28

    mat battle . com

is a good place to start for tutorials/documentaries on the big name jj people.

  • Reminds me of my Hapkido training, very very similar to the Hapkido I practice.

  • @TheMartialBo The reason you see similarities to Hapkido is because Hapkido is derived from old school (koryu) jujutsu. Aikido, Judo, and some styles of Karate and some aspects of Krav Maga also trace their roots to Koryu Jujutsu.

  • not all opponents attack like zombies. Against 300 lbs bodybuilder, yeah you will win. But against some dude that knows to manage his own energy... you will end up in hospital with several broken bones. The epic part here, is that YOU broke your bones, by yourself, trying to kick some ass.

  • Can really see where O'sensei (morihei ueshiba) got much of his inspiration. Can see nikkyo and sankyo in there in some form or other!

  • @YyJoBb Penutbutter

  • is there any videos of him competing?

  • Ha, I hope that guy who gets thrown down gets paid alot.

  • Gun= the equalizer for any fighting technique. Although it is the cowards way, it is also the most effective.

  • Gun = 30 years of jui jitsu

  • @Blindrider01 If all you're taking into a fight with a guy with 30 years jui jitsu experience is a gun I pity you. By the time your brain registers the fact that he is in motion, and you should probably pull the trigger, you will be on the ground.

  • @YyJoBb the Fuck un Do.... :)

  • Probably the most bad ass thing you will see today.

  • This is super cool yet ineffective. Krav Maga is the way to go

  • @EmmaRoseOkicki Krav Maga comes from Japanese JuJitsu. Look up the founder here on You Tube. They used to call it Isreali JuJitsu. "Irmi Leitchfield" is his name. (sorry for the mis-spelling of his name) BTW he sucked at JJJ---which the videos clearly show. After completing all three levels of Krav Maga you'd maybe be a blue belt in BJJ or JJJ.

  • @BJJHomos Ok dude, you need to stop believing everything you see on Youtube..you can't compare a self defense system like Krav Maga to a sport like BJJ..they have NOTHING in common..you take someone that's been trained in proper Krav Maga and put them up against even an experienced BJJ fighter, you'll get one result every time..a dead BJJ practicioner. Not trying to rain on your parade or anything, but you made it sound like Krav Maga is some second rate ring sport

  • @Saforge Jason Chambers, who's a brown belt in BJJ under Eddie Bravo, he also has Thai boxing experience and MMA experience was pretty much helpless against an attacker with a knife and pretty much helpless against multiple attackers. The Krav Maga guys told Jason that he is a good cage fighter but his self-defense stinks. Krav Maga and something like Systema/Combat Sambo is def. the best for self-defense but I wouldn't count out a good BJJ/Judo guy in a self-defense fight... they train 4 that.

  • @pcjudosambo Yea I see what ur saying dude, Judo and BJJ guys usually have good conditioning as well, putting them above your average street mugger in a physical sense, even though real fights usually last less than a minute and the adreneline's flowing like a river. I was just trying to make sure noone tried to use Krav Maga as a base of comparison for BJJ.

  • @Saforge oh no, Krav Maga is for military training, similar to old-style Japanese Ju-Jitsu where they attack the eyes, groin, spine, neck and other stuff that BJJ/Judo guys usually don't attack. But yes, put a Judo black belt or BJJ black belt against your average street attacker, the Judo/BJJ guy has a hell of a lot more chances of survival and winning the fight. You see, Krav Maga is for the military (primarily) & the streets, BJJ/Judo is mainly for the streets.

  • @BJJHomos Jason Chambers who is a brown belt in BJJ under Eddie Bravo was actually humiliated by Krav Maga guys in Human Weapon ... now being a brown belt under Eddie is pretty serious ... BJJ is excellent for self-defense just like Judo or even Wrestling ... but training against a knife attack or multiple attackers is different than for the sport of the art.

  • One of the things that sticks out to me is that, in all of his different demonstrations in this video, Mr. Giotis is ahead/moving quicker than the other guy on the mat

  • Question:

If BJJ is such a great self defense art for the street, why then did Fabio Santos a Red Belt Master under Rickson Gracie pull a gun on a guy who pulled a baseball bat on him after a traffic altercation?

    1. Pulling the gum cause Fabio to get arrested.

    2. It proves his art is not "the world's most effective self defense"

    3. A baseball bat is very easy for Real JuJitsu people to disarm, and by "REAL" Jujitsu I mean Japanese---not Brazilian Ground Judo aka BJJ. LOL.

    BJJ=Sport

  • @streeteffective This isn't about jiu jitsu honor...it is about not wanting to fight against someone with a baseball bat.. and no it isn't easy for someone in bjj to disarm someone with a baseball bat.. that is ridiculous. accidents happen.. and a tool with a baseball bat isn't worth getting hurt over.

  • @PokerVertigo Yes, I agree. My point is that a baseball is so easy for a Japanese JuJitsu Black Belt to disarm that it is a joke. BJJ claims to be superior and can't even defend themselves in real street situations? Contrary to popular opinion baseball bats, and clubs are not good weapons. Knives are a whole different ball game. Knives are a handful. I also think it's lame for a Black Belt to carry a gun--it shows insecurity and weakness.

  • @streeteffective Wow kid how pathetic are you dissing martial arts if you have no idea of what jiu jitsu is then dont even bother to comment on it i bet a bjj white belt could kick your asss

  • @alexperez12 The guy stated that BJJ does not handle street situtations like Baseball Bats. Which is true, and you offered nothing to the conversation? Keep typing away in your mom's basement like some weak-dick 12 year old, or come up with a valid point. My point is the same BJJ=Sport.

  • @BJJHomos My point is that bjj is both for sport and self defense if your in a fight and get taken to the ground what next? wow kid your such a freaking dumbass dont comment on things you dont know

  • @alexperez12 BJJ is not for self defense mainly, many other forms of martial arts are superior ground game defenses.

  • @alexperez12 The original statment is that Japanese JuJitsu can handle baseball bats and BJJ can't. Now you're bringing up ground fighting as if Japanese JuJitsu guys can''t fight on the ground? Japanese JuJitsu invented ground fighting. BJJ's techniques come from Judo, which come from Japanese Jujitsu----but thanks for proving my point "dumbass". LOL.

  • jiu jitsu is the best marshal arts i know of cause as soon as they take you down your done/ its over.

  • 1:04 I like the takedown.

  • 1:33- Smell my armpit fool

    0:59- Shall we dance?

    The rest- EPIC :D

  • @empacbig It'd work on you.

  • Very impressive! It's about time some proper Jiu-Jitsu stuff was on youtube!

  • @YyJoBb sleeping.

  • looks very aikido

  • @spentronic Close. Its Aiki-Jujitsu. Of course Jujitsu, Aiki Jujitsu, Aikido, Judo, Brazilian Jujitsu are all going to be very close in look.

  • i feel so bad for the guy who had to take all that! haha

  • I know this is a demostration, but man i bet you that guy with the black pants (I dont know the actual term for it) was getting tired from getting owed like that!!

  • I couldve sworn the other guys arm broke.

  • @kenny2923 Acting.

  • Pro.

  • I have a question, can you get alot of wisdome from this type of class?

  • so like...where is the ju jitsu? Just some dude disarming people. Where are the guard passings?

  • @jfrolov This is JuJitsu. Not BJJ. Different systems. There is no "guard" in Japanese JuJitsu. BJJ is not JuJitsu-- it's Kosen Judo. JuJitsu by definition has punches, kicks, weapons, weapons defense, multiple attacker defense etc...(See Wikipedia). The guard was created for "one on one in a ring", and BJJ is good for that. This system is made for a much different purpose. I have studied BJJ & Jap JuJitsu---both are very very good at what they are designed to do....

  • @YyJoBb swimming is the best sport/hobby to get you taller

  • @HSGSA thanks there is also this product named " helpo growth formula" i ve been using it for weeks and can actually see the difference

  • What style JJ it is Am looking for JJ other than BJJ with more stand up

  • @YyJoBb The martial arts between your parents genes?

  • At 1:20 I do that to people at school lol

  • I've heard this song so many times, but I had no idea what it was called. Thanks- crazy youtube copyright bullcrap!

  • i feel bad for the other guy

  • @MrNupit what?

  • I have aspirations to be this good, thx for the video, its highly motivating.

    BLACKBELT ON THE MAT, OS

  • I don't think this would work on a guy 2x bigger than you...

  • @vnninjas it would, because it's all about balance and body positions rather than strength.

  • k guys i have my black belt in taekwondo and im thinnking of to either join judo or jiu jutsu

    any help?

  • @Asoccerman123 depends on what you want to learn. judo is all takedowns, jiu jitsu is all ground fighting. together they are great. separately i think jiu jitsu is superior since takedowns are great, but taps are better :)

heard of a black belt in judo tapping to a white belt in jiu jitsu. definitely true, but only one story.

  • @ehsoftjunkie thanks ive been told jiu jutsu is better but i just wanna get someo more oppions

  • @Asoccerman123 Yes, but first where do you live.... so I can see which schools you have in your area. Also, what are you like? I.E. size, strength, height, weight, age, demographic, personality, amount of fast twitch fiber etc...Yes, there are that many and more factors involved....

    Also---and perhaps most important? What's your goal(s)

  • @streeteffective im 21 years old, weigh 180 kilograms i live in the states and live in florida my height is 5'8 and i can bench about 290 kilograms

  • @YyJoBb milk lol

  • one question...

ive always liked jiu jitsu but never had the parents to let me learn how to do it, but one thing i would be nervous about is that i have weak wrists (coz ive broke both of them snowboarding lol) and wondered how much pain is involved while learnging...? coz it dont look very comfortable in the video...

  • @MegaJ0sh Dude, if you've already broken your wrists, I highly recommend you stay the hell away from both Jiu Jitsu and Judo. Because not only will you break them again, you'll get them torn off.

I personally do Judo, and it's not so bad on your joints. If you do decide to do a martial art, I suggest you go with Judo.

  • What a load of stage-managed BS.

  • its like Judo+Aikido+self defence+hardcore bad ass brutality= im taking it

  • My sensei can take out this guy easy

  • @BrandMaxx This guy IS my sensei

  • Wow, I really suck compared with this guy!

  • Cool vid! Nice to see some of the traditional techniques used. Also, not to knock any style whatsoever...buuuuut, for all you BJJ fans out there, look up the history behind the name of the "kimura" armlock. After that, watch the video of Royce Gracie fighting Yoshida in Pride. BJJ is an amazing skill to have, so refrain from the flame!

  • actually, a boxer is allowed to go into the ring to fight an MMA fighter....and sometimes they win. An MMA fighter go into the boxing ring and fight a boxer on the boxers terms? that is illegal. the MMA fighter hasnt got a prayer in hell.

made statement 5 days ago. People "respond", but never mention my point. Is it or isn't illegal for an MMA fighter to go into the ring & fight a boxer on his terms...Answer? YES ITS ILLEGAL! It's legal for boxers to go in the octogon cuz they win sometimes.

  • im 14 and going take this .

  • Too flashy.

  • actually, a boxer is allowed to go into the ring to fight an MMA fighter....and sometimes they win. An MMA fighter go into the boxing ring and fight a boxer on the boxers terms? that is illegal. the MMA fighter hasnt got a prayer in hell.

  • @StLukey7

And then you take them on the street were it actually matters.

And the boxer gets surprised with a whole bunch of different attacks hes not used to defending or countering. And gets utterly destroyed.

Hmmm let's see which is more useful.... Hmmm

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku I think you are greatly underestimated things. I will put my boxing against your JJ anyday. Its not the first time I've proven the merits of boxing. My old Wing Chun school looked down on boxing and I fought everyone just using boxing and beat everyone, including sifu. I did the same with pretty much every school I trained at. The only ones that every beat me or even gave me trouble were my Judo, Muay Thai, and Kyokshin schools.

  • @Lordasia which is all included in MMA. We've seen boxers get kicked around and tossed around all the time by other arts. You rarely see a boxer get his lucky shot in and win.

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku I agree to a point. Look at Vitor Belfort's early fights, before his sister went missing. IIRC most his wins were by KO or TKO. And I as much as hate him, Phil Baroni used good boxing skills and had good KO power and won many fights with it. However he wan't that well rounded. I've also seen many MMA fighters striking skills greatly improve when taking boxing and scoring KOs. My first MMA fight lasted only 26 seconds and I used only boxing.

  • @Lordasia Well it's hard to use only "boxing" if you know other styles.

Let's say you have a guy who is currently main style as boxer.(Who was previously good at BJJ)

But he ends up fighting someone at BJJ. Well now you know how to counter his moves(using BJJ) and you know what hes doing (BJJ skills coming into play).

So perhaps when you were fighting those wing chun practitioners. Your knowledge of Wing Chun and Boxing is what helped you win. Because you knew what they were up too.

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku Again I agree to a point. Its hard to use only one style when you know many, especially if they are effective ones.

When I was in my WC kwoon it was new to me. What led to the match was the constant theorizing on how WC would beat a boxer. The problem was I was the only one with boxing experience so I challenged the theories. It didn't work out well for them. My point is boxing is a very effective art. I consider it a top tier art because it encompasses a lot.

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku If you haven't read them I highly recommend reading Jack Dempsey's book as well as CHAMPIONSHIP STREETFIGHTING to see how effective Boxing can be. Now with that said I have used JUDO/JUJUTSU a lot as well in real altercations. However I won't overlook how effective boxing can be.

  • @Lordasia I will make note of that book on my list of martial art books to purchase. (I read a lot of martial arts books)

  • @StLukey7 Not true. Many MMA fighters come from a boxing background or they train it as part of their MMA program. I boxed long before I got into MMA and there are other pro boxers turned MMA fighters as well.

  • This is my sensei, he rocks!

  • @ritjames101 hell yea man

  • lol for the UFC comments, UFC rocks! but this guy could probably kick their asses

  • Can Jiu Jitsu defent all another Martial arts?

  • everyone who says this is wack and mma/ufc owns it: you have no clue. you simply dont. get on the math for a few years, grow up till you reach at least 18+ and then try again. No fighting sport is superior to another it heavily depends on the individual and 'moment' as well. a jiujitsuka could beat a kickboxer just as easily as otherway around.

  • you know that one guy was hurtin the next day

  • @ryujj143 not likely; we know how to breakfall and how to protect our joints from damage. We're also just very conditioned to it, so training injuries at higher belt levels isn't a regular thing.

  • Lol my Jiu-Jitsu is 6th Dan and so he could be a Material Art Fighter :D

  • Lol at 1:20 that will teach him to try and shake hands. Awesome demo

  • Awesome!!!

  • Mom, don't bother me; I'm down here in the basement telling everybody on YOU TUBE that MMA is the ONLY art that works!

  • Comment removed

  • Was that one attacker holding a banana?

  • @cakebread07

I believe its a yellow training gun...

  • Are you people serious? Any martial art can defend against anything. A martial artist like the guy in this video may have more of a hard time with one style over another, but they're all better to have in your arsenal than nothing. And no martial art allows you to walk away untouched all the time. That's just in the movies. But each of them a very useful. I'm tired of reading nonsense about the superiority of MMA and UFC styles. You people need to spend more time on a mat instead of youtube.

  • @TheRealUnderherfeet I agree with you 100%. They definately need more mat time than youtube time. Nice moves but slow and un heard of. You will get touched in real life fighting.

  • @nyruffryders

    Check out Jeremey Corbell.

  • @TheRealUnderherfeet that is soo true. i am a student of vee arnis jiujitsu under sensei Eric Lelone. all martial arst are differnt but all are effective. the effectivness is depent on the skill and teqnique of the fighter not the discipline.

  • @TheRealUnderherfeet exactly...i do taekwondo and that itself is better than ufc...there are a lot of different mma types..some of them suck, and some are really good..if someone says they do mma, that doesent automatically mean that they can beat someone who does 1 martial art..some mma types are basic karate..which is horrible in my opinion.

  • @TheRealUnderherfeet if you go into battle using dim mok chances are your going to get more hurt then the boxer or muay-thai fighter who has a good sprawl and a tight choke.

  • @TheRealUnderherfeet

Could not agree more, people over estimate their own strength and think 'pfft i'd just jab him in the face and he would go down' i did kick boxing for twelve months and am fourteen stone, when i joined a MMA class and took part in BJJ which inlcuded floor work i was astonished to find that through pure technique over power I was being out done by other members of no more that nine stone twelve.

  • jiu-jitsu rulē

  • SACYALI BAVSHVI RA DAASHAVA?

  • this is all show, they never do this mid fight

  • Well deserved. This dude is GOOD.

  • Seems to me that anyone who studies Aikido should also study BJJ and vice versa . . . . they're both very dynamic, BJJ is more effective 1 vs 1 but Aikido is better against multiple opponents. Just my 2 cents, great video : )

  • Iomaio mama zvonit....Jiu Jutsu is a part of my life!!!

  • wow this man makes my karate teacher look lame ,he sooo cool :)

  • @sargonau Well, kick boxing def has limitations; especially in professional organizations. There are only a few places you can really hit; back; chest, head= face, (you never see a guy hit the other in the back of the head on purpose), legs and that´s about it. In Jiu Jit su there is a lot of blocking, grabbing, throwing, locks, pushing on the nerves, body weight etc so they are completely different BUT obviously jiu jit su has more ´options´ and places to strike, hold etc. Would be cool to see.

  • i don't know about you, but if i was in a self defense situation on the street, i wouldn't be very inclined to roll around on the pavement.

  • jiu_jitsu

  • is this jiu jitsu or krav maga?? I think krav maga.

  • @lnmjjk no its jiu-jitsu

  • @lnmjjk Jiu jitsu, krav maga is a more 'street' adapted version. I would advise this over krav maga

  • That is so sweet.

  • amazing skill there. Very inspirational

  • just ...just..... Damn

  • so is this basically just original japanese jujitsu

  • @ninjabastard2 yes, it's traditional Jujutsu, but includes refinements made by Aikido, Judo, and Karate. Modern JJ also includes defenses to modern weapons, like guns, and teaches techniques along the law enforcement Use Of Force Continuum. Traditional Koryu Jujutsu was a combat/battlefield art that was mostly geared toward killing/disabling. A similar comparison would be the old US Marine Corps LINE program (battlefield art) compared to the new MCMAP (law enforcement art).

  • Comment removed

  • 3:43 i like the cocking of the fake gun...lol

  • 1:34 and 3:34. Holy crap insane.

Also, who on Earth would volunteer to get beat up so bad? :P

  • 3:52 was my fav.

  • VERY awesome i almost feel bad for his assistant that shit has got to hurt after awhile

  • There is a big difference between competion and self-defense training. Even UFC has rules and restrictions to keep athletes safe. Most martial arts have two version: The sport version and the traditional version. Sport is for sparring. Traditional is for street defense. Any martial is effective if you learn the right version; TKD, BJJ, Aikido, etc. Many think they're just sport, but they can all be deadly if learned correctly.

Hence, there is no superior art. remember that.

  • @TKDBoy1889 You are right on that one! Most people ridicule or even talk trash about traditionnal/defence martial arts. Once the MMA hype has past, the dedicated ones will always go back to a defence type MA because instead of training for little plastic trophies, you train to defend your life and the ones you care about. Street and competition fight are two different worlds. There are only superior martial artists, not a martial art style :)

  • Fair play this guy looks mustard ! !

  • Good to see someone else doing some good techniques. What style are you practicing? Looks very much like a lot of the techniques I practice in Nihon Jujitsu.

  • @BrentShiver Yeah, the style is called American Jiu Jitsu and it's a modern Japanese jujutsu style very similar to Nihon. I study Ketsugo & Ketto Ryu, which is also very similar. I've seen quite a few Nihon video demos on here and it is definitely one of my overall favorite styles. I think I've read that Nihon is actually the largest JJ ryu in the US; do you know if this is true?

  • @CasualSoul Im not sure if its the largest in the USA or not. It certainly seems at times like Im the only person who practices it lol. I never see anyone who knows what it is. Its hard to even find videos showing its practice. That said though, i really like it and feel its a very effective, practical style. Id take it over BJJ any day... which seems to be the top dog when it comes to popularity. Good thing I never cared about being popular :-P

  • @BrentShiver lol, I know the feeling; most people don't have a clue about it. I just realized I was thinking about Goshin, not Nihon, as being the largest Japanese Jujutsu ryu practiced in the US. They're all very similar though.

  • @CasualSoul I think you are right about goshin, because I do hear more people talking about that. Pretty much the same techniques in both though... Im sure there are some differences but not many from what I can see. Where is your school btw?

  • Beautiful technique against non-resisting attackers. Now, let's see him show his ability against a competent, resisting opponent. Go compete, man. Martial arts aren't about beating up on people who don't fight back!

  • @Agtren Oh tell us Mr. 27 year old, what IS martial arts "all about"....? Do you call BJJ "resisting opponents"? LOL. No punches, no kicks, no weapons, belt divisions, weight divisions, rules, rules, rules, referee's, matts, blah, blah, blah....the street is the test, not some queer tournament. I'll take a Samurai Art for the back alley over some watered down version of Kosen Judo called BJJ. Try and pull "Guard" on the street and see what happens....You'll get stomped.

  • @BJJHomos You fucking idiot. Grappling is a part of human culture as much as art and literature. It has always been around as long as humans were violent - since the beginning of human history, basically. You must think all men are gay. Perhaps you are judging others by your own standard?

Your opinion of BJJ smells of ignorance. I'm capable of applying BJJ on the street. It's not the only thing I rely on though, since I have crosstrained.

  • @BJJHomos HAHA! You're a comedian, right? Good stuff Homo, good stuff. All in all, martial-arts don't have that much to do with killing people for the simple fact that I don't need martial-arts to kill someone. A 2x4 or a gun will do fine. Anyone can be violent, so why waste time and endless hours training? Obviously, because it brings more, whatever the style. If you want a real "feudal" style, join the Marines or the Taliban and re-live the 'ol Samurai/Ninja conflicts.

  • @BJJHomos or maybe instead of pulling guard you could take them down and get into mount. Then you can absolutely punch the crap out of them and if you want to, apply a lock or chokehold. Just because BJJ doesn't train punches and kicks doesn't mean BJJ practitioners won't throw them on the street. But of course these discussions are irrelevant if you have any degree of intelligence and can avoid street fights.

  • Guys plz! what the name of a soundtrack??? i know it's world wide famous, but i forgot the name

  • rofl at 1:20 XD

  • omg at 1:04 :O nothing can take him down lol!

  • @MetalChickxX he supose to do that, if something fails(he did it on purpose) you have to find another way to bring your opponent down.

  • @xOverXLordx thats so awesome :D

  • To answer the ongoing questions as to why you don't see Japanese JuJitsu in the Octagon. You do, every single UFC JuJitsu move is Japanese. It's not BJJ. The chokes, arms locks, leg locks that are used in the UFC are originally from Japanese JuJitsu. Then Judo, then kosen Judo, then Gracie JiuJitsu. The Gracies didn't even see Judo until around 1926, and these "BJJ" moves were hundreds of years old in Japan by then. If you think a Gracie "invented" any JuJitsu--it's just not true.

  • @streeteffective Right on point. The Gracies claimed they invented the Triangle until Judo Gene Lebell showed them pictures of Judo guys doing the move before they learned Judo. Japanese JuJitsu systems are very large systems. The difference is Japansese JuJitsu does well in the octagon, but BJJ would get you killed on a battle field in Fuedal Japan.

  • @streeteffective YOU ARE TELLING THE HONEST TRUTH AND I PRACTICE BJJ AND JUDO. YOU RIGHT ON POINT!

  • ALL JIUJITSU STYLES ARE AFFECTIVE ON THE STREET. ALSO, BRAZILIAN JIUJITSU IS ONE OF THE MOST EFFECTIVE STYLES IN THE WORLD NOW, HOWEVER, MOST PEOPLE ARE MISINFORMED ABOUT BJJ AND IT DOES HAVE A LAW ENFORCEMENT SIDE AND A SELF-DEFENSE SIDE AS WELL. JUST LIKE JUDO, JUDO IS A VERY VERY EFFECTIVE FORM OF JIUJITSU THAT IS USED BY MANY POLICE AND MILITARY WORLD WIDE. YES, JUDO IS JIUJITSU AND IT IS A VERY EFFECTIVE IF USED IN SELF-DEFENSE.

  • ALSO, IF YOU WANT TO BE GOOD IN JAPANESE JIUJITSU, STUDY JUDO AND IF YOU WANT TO BE GOOD AT SELF-DEFENSE IF YOU ARE A JUDO PLAYER, STUDY JIUJITSU. BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THIS, MANY JUDOKA WILL MURDER MANY TRADITIONAL JAPANESE JIUJITSU PLAYERS IN A REAL FIGHT OR SELFDEFENCE. WHY? FOOT WORK, BASE AND REPETITIONS OF THE BASICS AND THEY ARE USED TO CONTACT; THIS IS PROVEN. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE, JUST SPAR WITH ONE.
