It's more Eric centric (maybe HBO finally took the hint and will lay off with Bill?). It also shows more of Jason being bitten. It's plain to see that Eric feels more for Sookie than he lets on...particularly when he had that fantasy in 3x04 of her. That fantasy showed that Eric doesn't want Sookie for her blood or for purely sex, but that he wants her to know him, his past, and he wants her to be a companion alongside him. Also...unlike Bill apparently, Eric can control himself around her.

I often wonder why I love Bill even after everything that he has done, and I think it comes down to how fucked up of a character he is. IMO he is the most tormented character on TB and I just find his (Stephen Moyer) acting superb. He is thrilling to watch. I love every character on TB, including Eric, but I just feel that Sooke and Eric don't belong together. I guess we will know more after this season. It will be fun though to watch the Bill/Sookie/Eric drama though :)

Her life before was dull and she felt like a freak with no hope for the future and she would've never had a relationship. @grantm189 It never happens in the books, just in the show. I don't know how they'll show the resolution of the cliffhangers, probably in flashbacks or we'll just se the results of what happened who knows... but the time jump has been confirmed in interviews.

I don't think they make nighties like that. plus, she's holding it on with her hands, so it's definitely a towel or something related. and anyway, whatever. the point is that this line is in the scene where he tells her "this is not a dream".
I don't get Eric's sentence at the begining "everyone who claims to love you, even Bill Compton, they all gave up on you"..past tense? who? when? and why?....does this have anything to do with being in "fairyland"?
Time in fairyland is different: Sookie's grandpa thought he'd been there a few hours, but on heart 20 years had gone by since he'd left. Sookie stays in Fae for a very short time but when she comes back, she finds out that a full year has passed in our world. Eric is talking about what happened in her absence, meaning that people gave up hope that she would ever come back and moved on with their life, Bill included.
I think there are good and bad things about both of them. You just have to look at everything and see. I think Bill has done some bad things that I think are unacceptable (made her fall for him using his blood, raped/fed from her in trunk of a car (books, and tv show, sorta), and tried to kill Eric in order to save himself. Eric is also very imperfect, but he rarely lies to Sookie, and always admits to it. He's done some out of character things for Sookie, and I personally like him best : )
appologies for being controversial but what is with everyones hatred for bill. you can tell through his eyes he is being genuine when he says he loves sookie. he cries for gods sake. i know all women love nasty, cold hearted men like eric but i think he's vile. bills hot, dark and mysterious erics just erm... blonde and conventional :/

Bill mostly pretends to be way better than he is, and that's why people dislike him. Letting Sookie get beaten up to death was pretty nasty and cold-hearted don't you think? But since now he loves her, nothing else matters right?
Things are not as black and white as you say, I guess you should pay more attention to the characters if you think Eric is just "conventional"...
In the series I think they make Bill's Character TOO GOOD, and I hate that!!

I often wonder why I love Bill even after everything that he has done, and I think it comes down to how fucked up of a character he is. IMO he is the most tormented character on TB and I just find his (Stephen Moyer) acting superb. He is thrilling to watch. I love every character on TB, including Eric, but I just feel that Sooke and Eric don't belong together. I guess we will know more after this season. It will be fun though to watch the Bill/Sookie/Eric drama though :)

@777sugarplumb nah, I hope the ending of the show will be at least like the books, it is very likely that she will end up with no vampire at all, I think that would be the best for her, her whole life got f***** up since she got involved in the whole vampire stuff.

@Aveo00 ya I think you are prob right. As much as I want sookie and bill together her life would be so much more normal with a human. There aren't many of those left in bon temps though LOL. I like Sam and all but I don't think he is right for her. I didn't really care for the books, too cheesey IMO but I am glad lots liked them cuz they gave way for this frickin awesome show!

@777sugarplumb But the point is that she can't be with humans, that's why she got involved with Bill in the first place. If she could just marry a nice human guy and have a nice normal life it would not be this story lol! She's not normal herself, hell she's even less normal in the show than books! Her life at this point wouldn't be normal even without vampires..

But I mean she can't even have a child with vamps, I mean really, think about it, you could only see your 'mate' at night LOL...that is just weird. But I can say that hearing everyone's thoughts would suck so maybe she is willing to sacrafice LOL

@777sugarplumb If she had children they'd be likely to have the fairy spark like her and that would put them in danger from vamps/fairies etc.. and I'm not sure she even really wants them. Of course she cant have a perfect ideal life but she can try to have the best she can within the limits of her nature and the world she lives in.. that would be the best ending imo.

@Aveo00 In the books she'll never be able to leave the supernatural community, even if she wanted, and she doesn't. Her life before was dull and she felt like a freak with no hope for the future and she would've never had a relationship. And If you think about it it was only a matter of time before she got involved with supes anyway, since she's partly one herself and a direct descendant of the freaking prince of fairies...

@grantm189 It never happens in the books, just in the show. I don't know how they'll show the resolution of the cliffhangers, probably in flashbacks or we'll just se the results of what happened who knows... but the time jump has been confirmed in interviews.

I don't think they make nighties like that. plus, she's holding it on with her hands, so it's definitely a towel or something related. and anyway, whatever. the point is that this line is in the scene where he tells her "this is not a dream".

Time in fairyland is different: Sookie's grandpa thought he'd been there a few hours, but on heart 20 years had gone by since he'd left. Sookie stays in Fae for a very short time but when she comes back, she finds out that a full year has passed in our world. Eric is talking about what happened in her absence, meaning that people gave up hope that she would ever come back and moved on with their life, Bill included.

I think there are good and bad things about both of them. You just have to look at everything and see. I think Bill has done some bad things that I think are unacceptable (made her fall for him using his blood, raped/fed from her in trunk of a car (books, and tv show, sorta), and tried to kill Eric in order to save himself. Eric is also very imperfect, but he rarely lies to Sookie, and always admits to it. He's done some out of character things for Sookie, and I personally like him best : )

Bill mostly pretends to be way better than he is, and that's why people dislike him. Letting Sookie get beaten up to death was pretty nasty and cold-hearted don't you think? But since now he loves her, nothing else matters right?
Things are not as black and white as you say, I guess you should pay more attention to the characters if you think Eric is just "conventional"...
