I am shocked that the surviving members of Zeppelin allowed them to do this. Led Zeppelin are Rock Gods, Adam could never fill those shoes, so Kara got that all wrong. No one should ever try to cover Zeppelin, regardless of how talented they may be. Zeppelin is untouchable.

How the votes work is and the reason conservative, boy next door Kris beat Adam is when Danny got voted off, thats when Adams fate was sealed. Let me explain...Danny is church going, choir boy who is Mr. conservative. (I have nothing against Danny, and found him more likeable than Kris) However, the people who were voting for Danny, when he was voted off and voters for him had to vote for someone else, for sure their Conservative votes swung to Kris.
It's better for him that he lost, b/c he can do his own thing, if he would have won he would have had to have done what idol/ simon fuller told him, which is why the winners of idol never really get far or big. It took Kelly Clarkson almost 5 years to get really famous, Rueben Studdard , Fantasia Barino, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook. You know what. I am a HUGE adam fan!!! And i am SO happy he didn't win. Because he would have been tied into the American Idol Contract. And the song Kara wrote would've been his first single. That song was not mean't for adam. Adam is a rocker. I hope he stays true to that!!!!

Really- I agree. That Kara song SUCKED! I guess that's one reason I really like Adam- he stays true to himself. Hope he stays that way & I'm sure great things will come his way!

Thanks! I didn't mean to offend any Kris fans earlier- HE has a lot of talent to offer as well. But for the LIFE of me I could NOT see y it turned out the way it did. A lot of theories out there. Adam just has more ability to really grab my attn. and was more diverse in his performances~ I just thought mosta Kris' stuff sounded "the same." I mean, WHO ELSE could pull off this song better than him?! Anyways... They're both great & I'm sure they'll both have amazing careers. Good luck 2 both:)

I liked Adam a lot, and he does rock -- but honestly I find Chris to be more tasteful. Adam tends to take it over the top too much for me. Chris may seem mousy to you, but to me it's just tasteful and cool. Anyway, they'll both have great careers!

I have to agree that they're BOTH very talented artists; and I didn't mean to sound offensive w/ the mousy comment:) I guess I am more partial to the dynamic WOWW performance of Adam. Kris does have good music, and I'd prolly enjoy his CD as well. U are right- they'll both do well I'm sure:)

This was great. Favorite Zepp song and Adam did an awesome job with it. It doesn't really matter that he didn't win. He's gonna be more succesful than Kris.

Yeah, he's got a good voice but it's easy to copy, harder to be an original like Plant was. Looks like Elvis, maybe he should do a Presley show in Vegas

Adam is just awesome.. I hope someone like him can bring back rock to our current age... I'm tired of listening to pop songs which only emphasize on bubblegum and high-pitched vocals... And adam... you're just the perfect guy for it.. You may not scream as much as plant but you're definitely the only person I know who can do it at least 90% as good.. Come on start a damn band and dominate the damn 21st century with your epic voice! Adam is the DA THING man... Damn u idiots who din vote 4 him..

I've been a Zeppelin fan for all of my 50 years - Adam nailed this song! Wow, what a singer! Forget American Idol - he needs to be headlining now. I would love to see him do a CD with Queen.

my jaw hits the floor every time he opens his mouth; he's the only Idol contestant that's made me this excited, this pumped up to watch someone perform--it's like he's already famous, and he's been doing this for a decade already! he's such an old soul, with the raw rock energy we've lost over the years--he's bringing it back, and he's BRILLIANT! amazing! gorgeous! incredibly talented!
Adam is "IT"! (ha, and Simon was right--apart from Allison, nobody else could even touch Adam's voice!)

What you have just witnessed is the REAL AMERICAN IDOL not the watered down version known as Kris.
Can anyone honestly imagine going to a Kris Allen concert and seeing as much raw talent as you see with Adam Lambert? I DON'T THINK SO!!!
Too bad that America got it wrong again.
The good thing for the rest of us is that Adam will be a HUGE STAR and we will all get to see it and wonder just who the hell Kris was. (if anyone even cares!)

This performance seperated Adam from everyone in the Idol competition, this season and any previous season. Nobody dares touch Robert Plant & Led Zeppelin but the man pulled it off. I was blown away.

I'm a Zeppelin fan, and I loved it. Adam brings an energy to the song that it hasn't seen before. I'd buy the entire How the West Was won cover album by him. He is the new Rock God in our generation. He is what Rock has been waiting for.

no way, he may have been on pitch. but dude, seriously, his voice had way too much vibrato on certain parts and on those high notes he sounds like sady from across the universe (whos voice is equally as screechy and annoying). don't get me wrong he is a good singer, but no one can top zep

How the votes work is and the reason conservative, boy next door Kris beat Adam is when Danny got voted off, thats when Adams fate was sealed. Let me explain...Danny is church going, choir boy who is Mr. conservative. (I have nothing against Danny, and found him more likeable than Kris) However, the people who were voting for Danny, when he was voted off and voters for him had to vote for someone else, for sure their Conservative votes swung to Kris.

It's better for him that he lost, b/c he can do his own thing, if he would have won he would have had to have done what idol/ simon fuller told him, which is why the winners of idol never really get far or big. It took Kelly Clarkson almost 5 years to get really famous, Rueben Studdard , Fantasia Barino, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook. The only one who had real succes from the start was Carrie Underwood
