  • Marvellous syncopation,my mother was a Bluebell Gal; perhaps that's where i get it from. Spike - Max worked hard to produce this stuff. Not to forget all the team.Just do your best and look back a little. I wish to attain such a memorial. I live in their shadow.Loved it LG.

  • The girls dancing are none other than the John Tiller girls who used to perform at the long gone Windmill Theatre off Shaftsbury Avenue, Picadilly Circus.

  • Swingin' band.

  • Or just stumble into more nonsense :) -->

  • This is a great piece of work! The only thing I'd have done different would have been to put the Goons' faces on the screen as Greenslade read off their names, but apart from that, splendid job!

  • The Goons are the best! How those three managed to be so insane in so many ways...amy, they were mad geniuses!

  • Nobody today would have the gall to just be zany for no reason.

  • You know that fooled me I thought this closing for the TV show version. Good job!

  • This video is a very fine piece of work, jfhancock! I love your creativity. Could you do another one with the earliest closing number with the march of the Goons and Crazy Rhythm?? That would be aweseome!

  • I love the goon's i remember the first time i hurd them it was the one were they were all in court over a pice of rubish and i was in tears over it i was estatic i loved it... God Spike Miligan is a Legend

  • Oh that episode would be The Junk Affair. Yeah that was a great episode... "The time is 8.30, and here is the 9 o'clock news."

  • my first was The Batter Pudding Hurler and Napoleons Piano XD classic

Grytpype: "Have a picture of Queen Victoria."

Seagoon: "No thanks, I'm tring to give them up!"

  • Thanks for that, your obviously a keen goon fanatic!! they are all sadly missed especially Eccles and Ned Seagoon.

  • Some of the telegoon series were brilliant, they picked some of the funniest sketches, not as good as the steam radio but still very funny.

  • Yeah, but what about my brilliant editing?

  • it's very good! you haven't got the last goon show on tape? one of my sons taped over my copy!!!!

  • I do, but I don't have a video capture card anymore, so I can't get it into my computer or post it on the web. You can get it on amazon...

  • The pictures are always better on the radio.

  • you said it Man. I´ve been sponed, Neddy!

  • No, its not a pity.

It was never designed for TV, it was never meant to be on tv.

The Goons were brilliant in their original medium, and any atempt to move it to TV or film is just trying to add to something that was good enough as is.

TV isn't 'better' than radio. Sorry :-)

  • i totally agree to that, because tv shows u images and leaves you without imagination whereas radio lets you think for yourself and imagine characters, surroundings, ect. this was just one of the many gr8 things about the goons ( eventho iv only recently heard about them) lol.

  • I couldn't agree more :)

  • I think what MisterBob means is that the mere fact that television limits the audience to only one person's (or one group of people's) personal vision is a pity. Mark you, having said that, I would still like to see the Telegoons, just for the novelty.

  • Pity the goons never worked on screen as on radio.
