  • Congratulations Europe people! You just enacted a BAN against Canadian sealers! All Europe is against them!

Dia Agradable Latinos! Mexico has banned Canadian sealers criminal items! If you are Latino you are against them!

Nice job Norte America! USA! Great Americans enacted a Congressional Resolution against Canada against the sealers!

Canada! Millions of Good Canadians now don't want this bad seed called Newfoundland Sealers!

Criminal Laws & world's people are now against them!

  • this is less cruel than jamming thousands of chickens, pigs and cattle into sweltering factory operations and feedlots. Few people think about the daily holocaust in the slaughterhouses of the developed world. The seal hunt is perfect for the animal rights movement. Cute cuddly seals. None of you are thinking about west coast salmon, which are truly endangered now. They are cold and slimy, and hence not appropriate for propaganda purposes.

the seal population is not declining, Salmon are!

  • I agree with you on the fact that eating meat is wrong, and salmon should not be killed,

but that DOESN'T JUSTIFY SLAUGHTERING A SEAL, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • well you can try seal-meat, there is enough fish out there. But please no whales, seals etc. Is this barbarism not enough?

  • What for a stupid question is that....

there is a very big difference between a cow and robbes/whales etc. Maybe you should read something about that and inform you a bit better.

And the other thing....how cruel is that to beat this animals in this way? I would like to do that with this ppl...it is simply cruel....hopefully do they get a right answer with the time.

  • i would like to try seal meat...i wonder how it compares to cow?!?!

  • I think everybody should know, what is going on in Canada. So I'm going to hold a representation in my English lesson about the Canadian Seal Hunt. And i wanted to download this video, but it wasn't possible. Does anybody knwo how to download it or how to get it?

  • The Seal Hunt may not be directly subsidized, but you need to know that the fisheries in Eastern and Western Canada are the most subsidized on earth. You need only work seasonally for a few weeks every year, and then get paid to do nothing for the remaining 11 months.

  • You will get no support from us. 2008 is the year you will be confronted on the ice floes.

  • I eat meat are you people on glue im not seeing the problem here

  • this is sad..they have no hearts and some of them are just babies. ]=

  • disgusting....

  • omg this is so sad....how could any one want to kill and hunt seals like that :(

  • Grandifolia and newfie8fan

I can see you being out there on the ice and having a fine time.I can also see you at My Lai and doing whatever your SS bosses wanted you to do...after all,one had to survive, you could live with it.

    Don't have a nice day.

  • More attention is needed I think regarding this hunt, more observations, more critical thinkers to come out and press the issue, not just for a fleeting moment but perhaps as a life habit. I for one have an idea in how to bring attention to others regarding issues like this. I look forward to learning as much as I can and finding a way to help.

  • Maple7212, Go hug a tree somewhere.

  • It's hardly 11 months. Fisheries start opening in the spring and continue through the fall.

  • Maple7212, people like you are the bread and butter of IFAW and the like. All but one of the seals in that video died a quick death. A seal's skull is very thin, the hammer and pick do a quick job at killing the animal (yes, we are there in the food chain), the following movement is akin to a headless chicken's thrashings. Animals raised in meat factories suffer a fate far worse.

  • I had to stop this halfway through, it was making me cry.
