There are to other ways to knocking him unconcious:

1) in the first half, instead of ducking the kick, attack instead to give him a gut punch, then attack again to uppercut.

2) right near 1:23-1:24, see how that scene changed a little? Heres how to do the coolest attack in the game right from where ninja kong throws his first punch: Dodge, punch (miss), dodge, punch (miss), punch

when you punch after the second punch that misses, punch again to block, then punch again to gut punch him, then......attack him again....TO GIVE HIM A NASTY SHORYUKEN!!! LOL! Its so fun to do.

Fully. This is the best DK game I ever played. The Wii version in ways is even better with the controls. Simple and fun, and will make you sweat during the boss fights
